Beautiful Beach Resort

The property itself is very large with a beach that you can walk for miles if you choose to.Very quiet through the week but weekend get very busy and that’s when the restaurants open up.

*hot water heater worked “sometimes”*pet hair all over couch*both beds were/are broken *bedroom AC unit would kick breaker*very limited kitchen tools for a place that is 35 mins from anything*entire community leaves on Sunday and community restaurants close *water was turned off for half a day*grounds staff started working at 7A with power tools (my vacation)

Great stay at Playa Caracol

This was our first stay in the Playa Caracol resort and we cannot wait to come back! There are different apartment areas in the resort and for our stay during Carnavales we found the Villas Residences to be the most peaceful. The apartment was fully stacked with everything that you would need for a longer vacation stay for a family. The interiors were bright, clean, and gorgeous- the photos definitely do not do them justice! Contact with the property manager was very good. If you are looking for a vacation place with a lot of amenities (beach, pool, 2 restaurants, a small store - all within walking distance) - this is the place!

Playa Caracol

We had a very enjoyable stay at Playa Caracol. The unit was in excellent condition and well stocked with essentials. We suffered a number of service interruptions because of loss of electricity and internet. But these were suffered by all people at the resort. The property manager, Juan Bethancourth was an excellent help and helped immediately any time we had a problem. There was one major drawback - namely - the road from the main highway to the resort. There were hundreds of potholes, many as deep as two feet. These were a real bother.

Wonderful place but things you should know

We absolutely loved this place and hated to leave but as they say, all good things must end. The pool and beach are right outside the back door. The weekend was a little busy as to be expected and parking was a little hard to come by but once Sunday afternoon rolled around we pretty much had the complex to ourselves with just a few others coming around occasionally. Juan was always quick to reply when needed. The only difficulty we had was initially getting through security as the language barrier really slowed things down but this is not the host's fault. Something to be aware of is the road leading to the area is VERY rough and washed out in places and much of the staff doesn't speak English, which again isn't the owner nor property manager's fault. Even with the communication difficulties, everyone was super helpful and friendly, even the groundskeepers always greeted us with a smile and hola. I highly recommend staying there but it's best if you can learn a little Spanish first which we will do, when we go back, and we are definitely going back! Thanks again to Juan and Amy

Excelente opción para unos días de descanso en la playa. Me encanta Playa Caracol porque desde que llegas, tienes todo en un solo lugar. La piscina justo al salir al patio exterior y la playa a solo pasos de la casa. Hay un restaurante con bar que puedes ir caminando si no tienes ganas de cocinar. La propiedad muy limpia con aire y todo lo necesario. Juan fue muy amable y estuvo pendiente de cualquier consulta. Muchas gracias!! Volveremos sin duda!
