We had such a great time here on our family getaway! We loved swimming around the island, paddle boarding, and the water slide. Our kids loved having free range of their own island. Jackie was very responsive, kind, and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time staying at the lake house with Jackie. The house had everything we were hoping for, And not to mention it’s on its own island! Really cool and so unique. Affordable, And the host is extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
We had a terrific time on this tiny island! The boat trips to and from the shore were surprisingly quick and easy to manage. Our kids, aged 10 and up, quickly mastered the boat, adding an extra layer of fun to every outing. The house itself is stunning, with breathtaking lake views and plenty of essentials provided. The layout gave us plenty of space to gather or find quiet spots to work remotely.
We were thrilled with the variety of water activities available. In addition to the boat for transport, we enjoyed paddleboards, a kayak, a pedalboard, and the kids had a blast on the Lilly pad. The deck overlooking the lake was perfect for grilling and dining, and we had the best fishing of our life — even the kids caught impressive-sized fish!
Jackie, our host, was incredibly attentive and responsive to all our questions and needs. By the middle of our stay, we were already discussing booking this house again next year—it was that amazing, even with a few rainy days.
I would note that this property may not be ideal for someone with severe mobility issues due to the stairs and boating. However, we had a wide range of ages and abilities in our group, from a young child who can’t swim to teenagers and less athletic adults, and everyone had a fantastic time.I highly recommend this property and hope to return myself!
A Relaxing Lake Retreat - A Perfect Family Getaway
Our recent VRBO lake vacation was a true gem! The kids had a blast naming and feeding the ducks, riding the float on the lake, and zooming down the slide. Paddle boating, dockside fishing, and stand-up paddleboarding kept them endlessly entertained. While they enjoyed their adventures, my wife and I cherished quiet mornings with coffee on the dock, basking in the stillness of the lake.
Cooking on the grille and smores on the firepit were a breeze, but we also savored local restaurants. What truly stood out was the chance to disconnect from electronics and bond as a family over card games, board games and conversations. The lake was a tranquil oasis, offering privacy and a serene atmosphere.
The kids' joy at feeding the ducks every morning warmed our hearts. We also visited a nearby marina for tubing, an absolute blast! Jackie, our host, was attentive, checking on us during and after our stay, ensuring everything was perfect.
Though there were some "lake life" quirks, they only added to the experience's charm. We all agreed that a lake vacation trumps our usual busy trips to the shore or Disney. It allowed us to slow down, enjoy one another, and savor the beauty of the island and the lake.
Thank you, Jackie, for providing our kids with an unforgettable lake experience.
If you seek a serene, family-friendly retreat with excitement and tranquility, this VRBO lake house is ideal. Book with confidence.
