The Temple was a good overall place to stay. Nothing extravagant but a good place to relax after long days exploring Sonoma county area.
Thank you to the host.
Super cozy cottage with a fully equipped kitchen, amazing fireplace, and hot tub. Check in was super easy and the host was very quick to respond to the one question we sent. The property feels super secluded so it truly feels like an escape. It was only minutes away from downtown Sonoma and to a nearby hiking overlook that was stunning! Over the few days we were there, we found ourselves repeatedly saying “next time we’re back in Sonoma, we have to stay here again.”
Short walk into downtown Sonoma, with plenty of restaurants and opportunities to grab a glass or two! Also situated near some fabulous wineries, too much choice really! We had a great stay at the Temple. The kitchen is well equipped, with new appliances and everything you’d need IF you really wanted to cook. The outside space is very private and gets full sun on the rear deck all day. Great for topping up your tan.The house itself is old with creaky floors and tired decoration. It would benefit from a top to bottom clean, but it does come across as character and we were perfectly comfortable. Would happily stay here again.
This place has charter, everything from the creaking floors to the squeaky doors. The house was built in 1920, and we really got a feel for what it was like to live back in that time. The kitchen has been upgraded and is very nice, there is no A/C but the weather was great and never needed it. A very nice place to stay, all with in the heart of Sonoma.
Hot Tub broken. They claimed they would fix it. Never did. Manager stopped responding to our calls. Musty. A few cob webs. Strange lay out. Nobody likes a bathroom with 2 doors and no locks.
My wife and I spend 3 nights here at the end of February. The house is about 1 mile east of the plaza, close enough to be there in a few minutes, but away from the crowds. The property is very secluded, with a large deck, table, and hot tub. The house has a large privacy fence along with a remote control operated entry gate for cars.
The kitchen was large and well equipped with everything one would need. There was both counter seating along with a table that expanded if needed. There were two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom. There was a small-ish shower, no tub. Living room had a wood burning stove. There was a TV, but we didn’t use it.
It was early in the season and the house had a fair amount of cob webs, thus likely nobody had been there recently. That was our only disappointment.
The privacy of the deck and outside area were the most favorite parts of our stay.
