This charming log vacation cabin, nestled among tall pines on ⅔ acre, is an ideal nesting spot for your time in the Rocky Mountains. This secluded family gem is tucked away and quiet, yet only about 2 miles from downtown, the fairgrounds, Lake Estes, and the golf course. Enjoy views of Longs Peak from the living room window. Watch local mule deer amble through the yard. Relax in front of the fireplace of this two bedroom, one bath cabin.
Amenities include wifi, gas grill, outdoor seating/dining furniture, and ample parking. Bathroom includes hairdryer and toiletries.
Recent cabin upgrades include new kitchen cookware and flooring, new spa high-pressure/low flow shower.

Lovely cabin with everything as advertised. The host was responsive and easy with questions and requests. The cabin is absolutely lovely - we kept most of the windows open day and night (we were there in August), and it was a real treat.

This was a very clean place very close to Rocky Mountain national Park. We even got a surprise by a bear that one thing to do there is no air-conditioning in this place however it was unneeded. There are other cabins and people around you so don’t think that this cabin is kinda smoked away in this beautiful area where you’re looking directly at a mountain, but it did serve its purpose.

The cabin was tidy, and in a great location. Well stocked with things you might need. The beds were very comfortable, the couch was ok. Plenty of fans to keep the place cool. We tried to communicate with the management company thru vrbo.com, and never heard anything back. I called instead, and they were very helpful.

The property manager got back to us immediately when we had trouble locking the door- it was fixed immediately. We enjoyed the cabin feel and the quiet space between buildings. We’re already planning our next visit!

I regret having to leave a bad review but I don’t want someone else to have a vacation experience like we had. The cabin was nasty (food & drink on tables, bathtub nasty, floors nasty, stains on bed cover & dining chairs, bathroom nightlight had been chewed by a dog, etc. I could go on & on) The cabin needs updating & maintenance (electrical outlets, woodwork scratched and beat up, floors scratched & dirty, inside window panes unpainted/untreated, one window handle broken, no thermostat cover, furniture extremely old & in bad condition, only recliner in house was broken, old toilet, sink & bathtub that had shower curtains on each side of the tub, one covering an outside window so there was no room in the shower & the air suction made the shower curtains stick to your body, etc) This site only lets you post 8 pics. I have many. We asked for a refund on Sat. when we arrived so we could go elsewhere & were told the owner couldn’t be reached on the weekend & that it was priced accordingly. They offered to have the cleaning crew come back & clean. We declined, bought cleaning supplies at Safeway & cleaned ourselves. We never heard from the owner or Ponderosa for the whole 7 day stay. This is our 7th year to visit Estes Park & have rented older cabins before but have never had one in this bad of shape or nasty. I could tell by the pictures that it was an older cabin but the pics do not show the neglect & nastyness. We left it cleaner than we found it.

Fun trip

A few days of fishing and sightseeing with my grandson. We had a great time. Caught a few fish and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect for us. Great location and plenty of room.

Long weekend stay

Quiet space

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of “step back in time” elements. But comfortable and met our needs. We went 4 wheeling, drove though the Rocky Mountain National Park, visited the Stanley hotel. Couldn’t see everything. Hope to be back some day!

Vintage cabin

The cabin was sufficient size. Lighting in the bathroom was unique. Bed was super comfy!! Beautiful setting. Loved all the condiments available in cabinets. Really wished there had been a dishwasher. One cannot tell how well previous guests washed their dishes and silverware... so I washed what I needed before using it and again after using it. Great selection of tv channels. The notebook about the cabin and resturants and things to do was especially valuable.
