2nd floor 560'sf apt is isolated from the other 3 in the building & has its own 122sf deck overlooking our beautiful valley & pond. The spacious bedroom has a king bed. The full bath includes a stack washer/dryer. The living room has a pull-out couch, loveseat rocker/recliner, & a dining table for 4 ppl. There is also a large coffee table & 2 end tables. Joined with the living room is the full kitchen. Both the living room & the bedroom have large flat-screen smart tv's. The WiFi gives access to all streaming channels. Apt is in a 4-plex100' behind our home on 5 acres in a beautiful valley at the end of a tree-lined dead-end private rural road near LRAFB & Pine Valley Golf Course, secluded & quiet, yet close to the city wrapped in foam insulation for max sound barrier. If u like fishing, bring your gear to fish the pond 100' from the apt. There are 2 kayaks available for guests to use; also a fire pit near the pond with skewers available for roasting marshmallows, hotdogs, or whatever. If u don't want to wet a hook or get on the water or roast smores near the water, u can enjoy the gorgeous view of the pond & the serenity of our valley.

About the host
Your host
I was born in OH, grew up in MO, graduated high school in NJ & college back in MO. Was a career vocational minister until 2017. My retired RN wife & I have 3 married bio kids who have blessed us with 9 grandchildren. In 2014, after 12 yrs of empty nest, we took in & eventually adopted 4 siblings (2 girls, 2 boys). The oldest reached her majority, graduated high school (perhaps the first ever on either side of her bio family), & gave birth to her first child (our 10th grand) in '23. We are still raising the 3 younger siblings. We enjoy the outdoors - nearby lakes (swimming & jetskiing), ocean (beach & cruising), mountains (summer hiking & winter skiing), & some other travel. Most of all, we enjoy serving our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, & obeying His command to be hospitable. Hospitality is a means of making our living, but it also affords us opportunities to minister to our guests according to any needs they choose to share with us. We enjoy providing quality accommodations to our guests who come from many different places & cultures. Our philosophy is, "There are no strangers - just friends we haven't met yet."
Why they chose this property
We bought & built on this 5 acre tract in 1993 because it is a beautiful & tranquil valley, it seems isolated & remote tho it is close to everything, we thought it would be a safe, secure place to raise our 3 bio kids, & a good investment according to the direction of development. We built the 4-plex in 1999, but didn't enter the short term rental business until 2019. Our guests enjoy the same natural beauty, tranquility, isolation, security, yet relative proximity to whatever they need.
What makes this property unique
Many of our guests who have experienced other short term rental properties say to us directly & in their reviews that our hideaway is "a hidden gem," & that this is the best they have experienced. Some of them have returned one or several times, & some have also referred others to us.
