Beautiful hiking trails right from the property. Too many things to list.
What makes this Cottage unique
Private setting, views, access to everything near by. We had a wonderful season that started with a couple celebrating their honeymoon and ended with a couple being engaged and a few anniversary celebrations in between.
No refunds for cancellations made after payment is made
Great hidden cottage located at the end of a forested lane. The beach is just a few dozen yards away down about two dozen stairs.
Location. Location. Location.
We had a great stay and you can beat walking distance to the beach. The property was just the right size for our family with amazing sunset views. The huge wrap around deck was perfect for breakfast and family dinners outside.
Great location for a summer stay, but not in cold weather.
This cottage would be a great place to spend a summer, or warm weather, visit. Unfortunately, our fall visit saw temperatures in the 30s/40s and rain with 30-35 mph winds. The two electric space heaters provided would likely be enough for the occasional cold summer night, but they can't handle sustained cold weather. We didn't realize they would be the only heat source. We ended up cutting our visit short.
Other than the heat, the cottage was perfect for our little family. The views of the lake are amazing, and the surrounding woods were beautiful. I don't doubt that it would be a great place when the weather is better, or if there was a stronger heat source.
Lovely End of Summer Visit!
We thoroughly enjoyed our end of summer stay at this quaint Lake Michigan Cottage. The little cottage was perfect for a get together with good friends we had not seen on many months. Coffee on the deck, walking the beach to the pier and barbequing chicken made for a restful and wonderful weekend. The cottage was neat and clean and beautifully decorated, just the right size for the four if us.
Great Location, Cozy Cottage
We had a lovely 3 night stay with a variety of weather conditions in mid September. Great opportunities to see sunsets over Lake Michigan, hike lots of dunes on beach access areas between Holland and Muskegon, and cook some great breakfasts at the cottage. The density of (mostly absent) neighbors does create a bit more light than we liked, but we used the blackout shades after the first night. Nice and quiet !
Comfortable and relaxing with wonderful views
My family and I had a wonderful time. Close, easy beach access, great views, and a short drive to town. Great ice cream around the corner at the General Store!
Adorable cottage nestled on a private hilltop with expansive views of Lake Michigan. Lounge on the full wrap around deck with your morning coffee or evening cocktail Stroll a few steps to the beach and view of Big Red lighthouse. The perfect romantic nest for couples…. Also ideal for small families… Enjoy beautiful Lake Michigan views from your bed, dining area, living area and all over the deck. Direct access to Lake Michigan and enjoy expansive Holland State Park beach only one house down.
A few steps from the cottage is the new Mt Pisgah trailhead bringing you to the General Store for the best ice cream around and on to Holland State Park and a hike along the beach back to your cozy cottage…a complete circle and nice sunny afternoon adventure.
Excellent shopping and dining are just a short drive away in downtown Holland or Saugatuck. You'll find unique art galleries, antiques, spa boutiques, cafes, ice cream shops, bookstores etc.
Other Activities: All beach and lake Michigan activities. 10 minute walk to the pier for fishing.
