Awesome house and location

We love Gulf Shores Plantation and this cottage was perfect! Great location, easy storage for our kayaks and beach gear! Loved the porches and Gulf view! Pac Man was a fun surprise that everyone loved!!!

Beach vacation

Great location with access tobeach, pools, restaurants. Our unit was clean and environmentally capable of maintaining an interior climate. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children under the ages of 2.

Wonderful vacation!

The cottage is like a home away from home but at the beach. There are 2 pools, a hot tub and volleyball court right across the way. The beach is walking distance from the cottage. The house is very roomy and beds very comfortable. We had the best time there would definitely rent again. The owners are very prompt at answering any of your questions also.

Great vacation!

We had a wonderful time, and this place was likely a good 60% of that “great time”! Location is spot on, everything you need, plus a Pac-Man arcade game in house! This is the best communication I have had with any vacation rental in my life. They are quick to respond – and I mean quick- and kind and informative! They really were just fantastic (Jimmy Snow and Clearwater management)!

Family friendly resort feel

The cottage was very nice. Clean, comfortable, and everything worked great! Kitchen was well equipped! The Pac-Man game was enjoyed by all. We loved that beach toys, beach wagon, beach chairs, volleyball, and fishing poles were waiting in downstairs closet, such a nice addition. The location was nice, it was very young child friendly, not a party scene, beach was a 2 minute walk down boardwalk and so beautiful, we saw dolphins. The pools were cold and refreshing after sitting in HOT tub! Weather was a little colder, so hot tub was awesome!

Overall, we had a great time. Place was quiet, relaxing, & clean. Loved being able to hang out on the porches. Directly across from hot tub and two pools. Easy walk and access to the beach. Beach chairs, tent, toys, cooler were all available to use. No blow dryer. (Beach hair don’t care though) Would recommend getting room darkening blinds and/or curtains. Sun came in every morning at 6 a.m.

Love this place!

You can't beat this location! It's seriously the best. So close to the beach and pools and the beach isn't nearly as crowded as others. The house itself is great, but it's not perfect. You can tell some past guests have been pretty hard on it. My only negatives are the master bed, it's not super comfy, and the smells that come from the connecting kitchen in 7b. I think we just lucked out with neighbors who liked weird foods, so that might not be everyone's experience. All in all, love this place. Love the memories that were made. Hope to come back soon!

We loved the house and will be booking another trip

We loved the house. 5 stars for cleanliness. We had plenty of room for 5 adults, 2 teens. The room with the king bed has a cubby that fits a twin air mattress. Kitchen appliances were new(er). The back porch was amazing. It's shaded by upstairs deck, you can see the ocean and the breeze was fantastic. Distance to boardwalk is about 50 yards. We brought our own crockpot, waffle iron. Pool is close enough, we could yell to our teens, when it was time to come in. The downstairs closet has beach wagon, canopy, fishing poles, shovels, beach toys, beach chairs, and other misc.

What a dump

I've stayed at VRBOs for MANY years. Multiple trips per year and have NEVER experienced anything like this nor left a bad review! First, we NEVER received a check in-welcome email, even after asking multiple times. We arrived early (2:45) & planned to just walk the beach and let the kids play until the 4pm check in. There was no one at the unit, so I messaged the host. He said the unit was ready and we could check in. I had to message again asking for a door code and told him we never got the email. He relied back with the door code. We unloaded the car and was taking our luggage up the stairs when a car pulled in and approached the house. They said they were there to clean the unit. This was 3:15. We were allowed to enter the unit at 4:30. 30 minutes after check in. The unit was nasty!!!!!!! NASTY! I've never stayed anywhere so unclean. Hospital bracelet from the previous renters left with name and all info. Food in the floor. One of the Bedrooms had the worst smell and the comforter was so spoiled I would not allow my children to sleep under it. The door handle to the porch on first floor was broken and unable to open the door. My husband was able to fix the door knob so we could use the deck. The outdoor table was unusable as well as 2 of the chairs. Metal shavings from the chairs all over the deck. Dresser in the master was broken & drawers wouldn't open. Bathroom drawers were disgusting. This unit is in serious need of repairs and I would proceed with caution!!!
