This is centrally located in greater Des Moines. Just minutes from downtown and Wells Fargo Arena. West Des Moines and the other suburbs are just 10 minutes away. This is a large ranch-style home. It has a private patio with fire pit and grill, bags, plenty of parking, and tons of room to spread out. We stock almost everything you need.
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, Advil, face towelettes, shampoo, conditioner, luxury towels and linens, plenty of pillows, fully outfitted kitchen, children's accommodations (pack-and-play), and the list goes on. We pay attention to all the details so you don't have to!
The main floor has 4 bedrooms with 2 Jack and Jill style bathrooms. In each bedroom there is a private sink room with vanity and 4 foot mirror. Then between the 2 bedrooms, there is another room with shared toilet and tub/shower combination. On the main floor there is also a guest bathroom with a washer and dryer. There is also a large open-concept kitchen and dining room, and a large living room. The living room includes a 75" tv, two couches, a recliner, and a gas-start fireplace stocked with extra wood.
The downstairs has another room with 2 Bunk Beds (top bunk single and bottom bunk full) as well as a full bathroom. The rest of the 2000 sq. foot basement is set up for entertainment or just taking it easy. It has it all- Pop-A-Shot basketball, pool table, professional ping-pong table, Golden Tee arcade game, Mega-Touch bar-top game, classic sit-down arcade game with 60 games, the latest board games for young and old, dedicated beer-pong table, a bar, refrigerator, ice machine, 75" tv with large couch pit area, and tables with additional seating as well.
This home is one of kind in Des Moines. But wait...THERE'S MORE!! I own the Four Seasons Apartments next to the house. THERE, YOU HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THE POOLS ( indoor in the winter and outdoor in the summer) AND CLUBHOUSE! The clubhouse offers a complete home gym, sauna and a pool table. All of this is at the property right next to the house (about 400 feet to the pool).This has been one of the top properties on Evolve for the last year.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Good location to Ingersol, Downtown. Host was very communicative and engaging. Perfectly suited the activities planned. Very spacious, provided games, plenty of beds. Parking needed to utilize the closeby apartments. Definitely would come back.

Very entertaining for the kids!

Our children greatly enjoyed their stay, with plenty for them to do. They enjoyed all of the downstairs games and recreation as well as the nearby swimming pool.

Great house with game room!

The location of this property is excellent, so easy to get to. The game room downstairs was perfect and so much fun, the house is very nice and the beds were comfortable. We like it a lot!

Softball team central!

We were able to have 5 of the teams family’s very comfortably stay for a week with TONS of space and plenty of rooms for down time as well! We had a mix of adults, teen, kids, and even a toddler with everyone entertained. Great location for us to have the whole team over for team building dinners and activities as well! We want to thank the owner so much for this wonderful experience!

Des Moines trip

The property manager was very obliging, let us check in early and was available if we needed anything. House was clean and comfortable. Did not use fireplace, appliances were older but worked. We did not see an ice maker, used the old fashion kind (trays). Property manager stopped in a few times.

Good VRBO for 2 nights

We had 11 adults and 2 kids. I felt the bedrooms upstairs were good and used pack n play supplied. My husband and I slept down in the room that had a table and pac man video machine in basement. We had our double high air mattress in there, but I feel the owners could put a queen size bed in that room cause it connects to bathroom. Our other single adult slept on bunkbeds in basement but no privacy in main part of basement. We were mostly couples so didn’t utilize all the beds upstairs. There were 2 big refrigerators which was great. Kitchen was great and lots of seating. Had condiments and spices there. Would stay here again. Great location near Grays Lake and winery.

Family Christmas

Our family of 5 adults and 4 children stayed at the Woodland house from December 21 to 25. Our daughter's family of 5 that lives in the area joined us during the day. The house has plenty of room up and down. The basement area was especially nice for the kids and adults to play with plenty of space for cards, playing pool or ping pong. Full size laundry was very helpful. We contacted the host a couple times for needed items (wine glasses and tv remotes). They responded in a timely manner. Beds were very comfortable and there were more than enough towels. The kitchen has plenty of plates, glasses, cups and service ware. I recommend more dish towels in the kitchen and an additional blanket available for each bed. The bedroom with the king bed was very cool at night. Overall, we had a wonderful time spending time together in a home with plenty of space for a large group.

Amazing downtown location doesn't feel downtown

This property was perfect. There was SOOO much room for everyone! Onlyna suggestion. Add some curtains to the upstairs bedroom windows. The lights on the building next door and the apartment parking lot lights. It's like noon at midnight. I did appreciate how extra safe the lights made me feel at night sitting outside alone. Just not a fan when trying to sleep. Otherwise it was a perfect trip! So much to enjoy for all ages! We will be back!

Fun family trip

We had a great trip! Conveniently located, nice neighborhood. Lot's of space for my family of ten, with plenty of room for more. The use of the pool onsite was awesome! Steven was great to work with. The few suggestions I have; curtains for all bedrooms, as the ones without were still pretty bright at night. The kitchen could definitely use a few more things, no cutting boards, or measuring spoons/cups. Skillets were well loved and could use replacing. These are minor things of course, and I've no doubt Steven will take these suggestions to heart, he takes great care of his properties! Thank you for the great trip!

Best Place to Stay in Des Moines

This property was perfect for our stay and, frankly, would be perfect for about any group. The home is VERY clean, modern, and accommodating. The property owner did not skimp on anything, as there are toiletries, including all linens and even necessaries (i.e. toothbrushes). The upstairs has four bedrooms that each have at least two large beds in them (some have bunk beds) and each with private toilet (shared showers per two rooms but toilets were private and locking). You could sleep a whole soccer team in there if you wanted. The kitchen is fully stocked with any/all appliances, had a Keurig with unlimited coffee, and a large dining table that doubled for us as a computer workspace and work gathering. The living area has a very comfortable L-shaped couch that reclines and a huge screen TV. Perfect. The basement is better than advertised. Another large bedroom in the basement with a full bath. The bar and game area was huge and had a full size fridge. More game than you could play! The Golden Tee was AWESOME, but our group used the game table, pool table, etc. There is also a large table and gathering space. Next there is a huge sofa with another huge TV. Unbelievable. It is also worth mentioning the location that is prime for Des Moines. It is right off of I-235 the interstate that runs through the city and connects downtown to West Des Moines and other suburbs. It is closer to downtown, but the trip to the action in West Des Moines would be minutes, so it is really ideal. I would stay here for any purpose, any group, and any reason. A concert downtown? Perfect. Sports events anywhere in the surrounding area? Perfect. Getaway weekend like we had with some work focus? Perfect. The size, accessibility, cleanliness, and accommodation is unmatched. This is the place to stay. Finally, i will mention that I needed to connect with the owner in advance. He was prompt and was 100% facilitative of our request. Dont stay anywhere else.
