About this property
Cozy 3 bedroom cottage in Valle Crucis, NC surrounded by 2 creeks!
Welcome to your Valle Crucis, NC getaway! Surrounded by 2 creeks and 400 acres of state preserved natural area...this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy all that nature has to offer you right here at the cabin or go exploring in one of the many amazing mountain towns close by. Less than 10 minutes to Valle Crucis shops and dining, 15 minutes to Banner Elk, 20 minutes to Boone and 30 minutes to Blowing Rock. The perfect spot for any season. We can't wait to have you stay with us!
The space:
Our cozy cabin in the woods is ideal for up to 7 people. The entire house is filled with comfortable furniture, local art and vintage pieces to inspire you and make you feel right at home. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 equipped with a double bed and the other a king size bed. The large lofted area acts as a 3rd bedroom and has 3 beds including 2 twin beds and 1 double bed. There are 2 living rooms for you to enjoy, both including a smart tv (even though we don't think you'll need them much while you are here) and a wood burning stove in the front living room to cozy up to during the winter months. The outside is yours to explore as well where there is a fire pit and Adirondack chairs to sit and relax in. We think you'll love the view of the primitive one room log cabin from the 1800's and we know you'll enjoy the rushing creeks on both sides of you (you'll want to keep the windows open to hear them when the weather allows).
This is the perfect location for whatever brings you to the mountains...
*relaxing right here in Valle Crucis and taking time to enjoy a slower pace of life
*a day in Boone exploring downtown and the local flair it brings
*a visit to Appalachian State University for family weekends or football games or summer camps
*a trip to Blowing Rock and all the shopping and dining options that you could desire
*countless hiking trails for every level of hiker
*skiing at App Ski or Sugar or Beech Mountain are all just a 20-30 minute drive away
*Valle Crucis is well known for its fly fishing and we are just 10 minutes from the Watauga River

Guests will have access to the entire space. The house is strictly limited to 7 people.
Other things to note
Want to know something fun? This cabin was once the original Esso gas station in Banner Elk! The original owners had it moved up the mountain in the late 1950's and converted it into their forever home. But that's not the only fun piece of history here, they first lived in a one room log cabin that now sits behind the house!

What makes this property unique
Our cabin sits at the end of the road on 5 acres. Right behind us is 400 acres of state preserved natural area, making this the ultimate place to escape while still being able to be in town within 10 minutes. The rushing creeks on either side of the cabin add an extra charm and sense of calm while you stay. We know you will love it here as much as we do!
