Loved the porch with the amazing view and stream, only not perfect would be small driveway type road and difficult getting down narrow turn in area for cabins driveway.
Thank you. Yes, the driveway gets some getting used to. But, most conquer and don't have a problem. I back down the driveway, so it is easier to pull out when leaving.
Great cabin in a secluded spot
Close enough to go hiking and see the various falls yet located on a lot that is private and surrounded by nature. The hot tub was a bonus! The cabin was clean and comfortable. Communication with Kathy and Robbie was timely and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway and will certainly return. The experience was everything we hoped it would be.
So glad you enjoyed you stay. Hope you return in the future. Thank you!
Wish we could have stayed longer...so much we didn’t get to do...
Please come back and visit again soon! Thank you
Great Mountain Cabin
The cabin was perfect for our family. It's off the beaten path but close to plenty of mountain activities: Blue Ridge Parkway, Maggie Valley attractions, white water rafting, Cherokee Indian Village, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, among others. We unplugged and connected with some family fun for the week. Enjoyed the creek view, hot tub, and outdoors.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you return in the future. Thank you
a great week in the mountains
The cabin felt like home as soon as we got there. There are so many things to do in the area I can't list them all. We did something different every day. But the best day was the rainy afternoon I spent on the porch reading, watching the hummingbirds at the feeders I found and filled , eating cherries I bought at a local produce stand, and spitting the pits over the rail, while the creek rushed by below.
So glad you enjoyed you stay. Even with so many things to do in the mountains, sitting on the deck and listening to the creek is the best. Thank you and hope you visit again.
Great updated cabin, but
Great updated cabin, had everything needed and great scenic views, but the smoke smell from the fireplace was terrible, front of fireplace is blackened, needs a good chimney clean and both queen beds were so bad you would sink in so bad we would end up almost on top of each other and when you sat on them, layer or moved they creaked, really loud. They had a 3 inch foam piece on top but did not help and sheets would not stay fitted to the mattress, would like to stay again but would not recommend if they didn’t buy new beds and clean the fireplace
Thank you for you review. The smoke smell was due to guests not opening the damper before use which created a smell. This has never been a problem before. the fireplace was cleaned at the end of last year, along with a new chimney cap installed. Due to age of fireplace, you will have residue on the front of true wood burning fireplaces, and try as we may, even with a wire brush you will have some smoke on the stone.
Mattresses are very subjective to owners/guests and you can't please everyone with their preferences. Hence, the foam mattress toppers, so, guests could leave or take off for their preference of softer or a harder mattress. But, know that new mattresses have been ordered and will be delivered in the next week.
Amazing drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, enjoy a trip to the Biltmore House, Cherokee, or Waynesville. Take a ride over to Gatlinburg, TN, an hour away. There is horseback riding just a few miles away, putt-putt, tubing, rafting and much more.
