Welches gets several snow days each year and occasionally can get a heavy snow. If you're visiting during the winter be sure that your vehicle is prepared for snow and ice by having traction tires or carrying chains. The best vehicle setup is AWD or 4WD with traction tires on a vehicle with plenty of ground clearance.

During winter months, loss of power is a rare possibility on the mountain. We suggest you get trip insurance for the rare case that winter weather affects your trip.

Perfect Getaway Spot!

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy home on the mountain. So comfortable and perfectly located for Mt Hood fun. It looks like a little cabin in the woods from the outside, but it is spacious with all the modern amenities on the inside. The owners were communicative and accommodating. I especially like how they put local art throughout the house.

Hi Miranda, thanks for the feedback. AC is not a listed amenity, though we do provide fans in each bedroom. I was not aware there was an issue with the stove burners. In the future, please contact a host directly if there is an issue like that. I would have been happy to send someone to fix the burner.
