Lazy Bear Cabin is roomy and rustic with all the essentials for a comfortable stay for up to 10 guests. Open concept kitchen, dining, and living room for the best times together. Sit on the large wrap around deck overlooking the beautiful spring fed 2 acre private pond and soak up the peace and quiet. Natural Gas Grill (never worry about running out of gas while grilling), Kayaks, Canoe, Stand Up Paddle Board, paddles, variety of floats and tubes for pond, Volleyball, Horse Shoes, Cornhole, fishing and nights around the fire make for great memories.
Lazy Bear Cabin is a perfect home base to stay at when attending your friend's or family's wedding or special occasion. We're just 1.5miles from Ivory Acres! In order to help you look your best, we have a full length mirror, iron and ironing board.

July vacation

Our group of 7 enjoyed the peaceful property and great deck overlooking the pond. We were comfortable and everything we needed including the TV was onsite and nice. Proximity to local Tops store and small town was awesome.

Mom and kids getaway

Our friend group had a wonderful weekend at Lazy Bear Cabin. We had a very age diverse group and there was something for everyone to do. We all loved the pond and appreciate all the water toys we had access to use. Definitely would visit again!!!

Would stay here again!

We truly enjoyed the amenities of this beautiful property. We kayaked in the on-site pond, played corn hole, grilled burgers/dogs and had s’mores by the campfire. The owners are super nice and make sure you have everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and the beds are comfortable. The grocery store and some restaurants are just a few minutes down the road. We definitely recommend Frewsburgers for pizza and stromboli. The Dinner Bell has a great breakfast.

Good but not great!

This property had some great features. Kayaking, wrap-around porch, spacious house, beautiful pond; all great! Some disappointments: - Water dispenser and icemaker in the refrigerator/ freezer were inoperative. - There was no explanation regarding the numerous items left in the refrigerator/freezer: water, condiments, frozen food. The Host visited us and shared hardships she recently experienced. We felt genuinely sorry about these things, but we did not feel compensated for the amount of money ($566/night) that we paid for our visit. - While we needed and appreciated the accessibility features of the house, we felt that the ramp to the front door was risky for a wheelchair and for unsteady seniors. - This facility is in need of deep cleaning! Examples: trapped dead mouse in a kitchen cupboard, crumbs in a silverware drawer, etc.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Lazy Bear Cabin. I apologize for your disappointments regarding the Ice Maker being inoperative and the items left in the refrigerator/freezer. We are currently waiting on a plumber to connect the water supply to the Ice Maker. I provide a bag of ice for our guests to use until the Ice Maker is connected. The items left in the refrigerator/freezer are for our guests to use in addition to the cooking staples I provide (oil, sugar, spices, seasoning, coffee, tea etc.) if they want to use them. It’s a convenience for the guests to eliminate all the extras they would need to bring or need to purchase during their visit. I agree with you that the ramp could be a bit risky. After researching the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) the ramp is compliant with a 36-inch width and level landings at the top and bottom of the ramp, however, we do need to add handrails to each side, which will be added immediately. To address the house needs a deep cleaning, the house is cleaned and sanitized after each reservation by an experienced cleaning person. Also, every 3 months we have extensive cleaning done paying special attention to the kitchen and bathrooms. I would like to express my deepest regret that you found crumbs in the silverware drawer and the trapped mouse. We are in a rural setting, unfortunately and occasionally mice make their way in. It is indeed rare! The cleaning person pays close attention to details but somehow missed these issues and for this I deeply apologize. I hope that you and your family were still able to enjoy and had a wonderful time at Lazy Bear Cabin. Dianna

Fun family get-together

The photos are accurate and yet they don't do the property justice! We had a large group of 8 people and we were never on top of one another because there is so much space inside and out. The wrap-around porch was fantastic! The pond was the best part of the property. We swam, kayaked, caught frogs, used the fishing poles we brought, and floated to our content. 3 nights was almost not enough time to do everything. The kitchen is roomy and well-stocked. With our large group, we utilized the entire refrigerator and used coolers for drinks. There is plenty of parking and the driveway connects to the street in 2 places. The bunk room was fun for the kids. The master bedroom was large,, with an en-suite bath. The coolest part of the trip was seeing the delight in everyone's eyes when they arrived. The property is stunning.! And, the property is so dog friendly! Dianna left toys, treats and poop bags. There are pet food and water bowls, pet beds inside and out. Outside is a large pen with ample shade. The firepit has enough seating, tables and chairs on the decks. It is ideal for parties and celebrations. No one will be bored! We enjoyed the wifi, never used the television, as there was so much to do. Town is less than a mile down the hill. The pizza we ordered from Frewsburgers was amazing! There are 2 ice cream shops and a small Tops supermarket for any items you need.

Lazy Bear Cabin has many great features! We love the spring fed, 2-acre pond. Cool off with a refreshing swim, fish for Bass, Perch and Blue Gill, team up for Kayak races or a leisurely paddle on our Stand-Up Paddle Board or enjoy relaxing in the gazebo. Take in the beauty of the stunning sunsets from the wrap around decks! Want more of a faster pace, team up for a game of Cornhole, Horseshoes, Volleyball, Ping Pong and several other outdoor games. The cabin is in a quiet, country setting but close enough to walk or ride one of our bikes to Frewsburg to enjoy a refreshing Ice Cream Cone or shop at several Antique Stores. Hungry, check out the Frewsburger for one of the best pizzas in Chautauqua County. Enjoy a home cooked meal from the Dinner Bell (eat in or to go). We are close to Chautauqua Lake, Kinzua Dam, Erie, PA beaches and Buffalo, NY for even more fun!
