The Shangrila Lodge is a lovely place, inside and out. Also well appointed, especially the kitchen. My husband is a VERY neat person - the owners are even neater! All in working order. I would definitely recommend it.

Clean and beautiful property. Only negative is that the house could use a water softener as the water smelled like sulfur.

We apologize for the smell in the water, we wish you would have told us when you found the sulfur. Mitch would have come immediately. We do have a water softener and it must have been low. Spacious house with beautiful grounds. Very convenient to Ithaca. Fully equipped kitchen, including gas grill and outdoor dining table on patio. The hosts were friendly and helpful and easily available if we had a question. Great for a family getaway. The kids loved making s’mores in the fire pit.

We had 13 people stay in this beautiful home and loved it. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms, a very well stocked kitchen, nice bathrooms with plenty of towels and a great living area gather for family games. We also took advantage of the fire pit and the hot tub. This home is well situated for easy drives to Ithica, Watkins Glen and wineries. I would highly recommend this home for a visit to the fingers lake area.

This property was exactly as advertised and great for an extended family vacation. The kitchen contained everything needed to cook meals onsite, beds were comfortable and the children (5 and under) loved having plenty of room to play and ride bikes outside. The location is perfect for exploring Ithaca and Trumansburg and other areas near Lake Cayuga and Lake Seneca. The hosts were great communicators and we would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area with a large group. Mitch and KC have set a high bar for our future family vacations!

We had such a wonderful time in this home! It was warm, inviting, and cozy for a weekend getaway! Mitch greeted us personally and gave us a tour! Would recommend this for anyone looking to spend time indoors!

We loved our stay at the Shangri Lodge over the week of Thanksgiving. 8 of us enjoyed all the space! The kitchen was wonderful to prepare lovely breakfasts, gourmet dinners, and of course Thanksgiving dinner. Beautiful areas to sit, visit, and relax. Lovely bedrooms for rest.

Great weekend away

Wonderful place for our group of 13, ranging in age from 4 to late 70s. We had everything we needed. Great gathering areas for meals and board games. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool table.

Our extended multi-generational family really loved our stay at the Shangri Lodge. There was plenty of room for us to spread out, a well-equipped kitchen, a field for the kids & grown-ups to play in, and all of the fun amenities on the listing. The house is close to several State parks, the town of Ithaca, and the University.

Great Finger Lakes Vacation Home

Beautiful home outside Ithaca, convenient to lakes and hiking. It was perfect for our extended family vacation. KC and Mitch are terrific hosts who were available to answer questions and assist with anything we needed.

Fantastic house, great location

A gorgeous fall weekend away with friends at the beautiful house. Super convenient to Ithaca, wineries, hiking and lots more. Comfortable rooms, great kitchen, lots of lounging areas. Hot tub, pool table and fire pit were added bonuses!

A superb place, beautifully sited, furnished, and maintained. Plenty of common space, a well equipped and organized kitchen, lovely grounds, hot tub, and a short drive down the hill to Ithaca. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home

This home was absolutely stunning. It was well stocked with spices. We loved the swing in the front along with the creek that ran along the side of the home. Everyone had such an amazing time. Would definitely stay again.

My friends and I were so thrilled with our stay at Shangri-Lodge. The place is both stunning and cozy (the kitchen was certainly a highlight for cooking group meals and catching up). KC and Mitch were kind, communicative, and helpful as we prepped for our trip. We're already talking about a reunion back there!

The location was amazing and the property had so many amenities that we enjoyed. My daughter and i love to cook and so we cooked every day for 11 people. The kitchen was substantial and well supplied. There is a fire pit that we used several nights as well, and the property is sufficiently remote that we could gaze at the stars. The town is reasonably close as are innumerable wineries, creameries, farm stands, and so on.
