There were roaches everywhere. We had to go buy roach spray. The bunk beds were loose so the kids had to sleep on the fold out couch. One of the stools legs was loose amd hanging there. One of the wall decorations was laying in the floor when we arrived. But the roaches were horrible.

Loud construction

The best part about this hotel was the location and view from the balcony. However we could not even enjoy the condo due to constant drilling from 8 am to 5pm every single day. We were not made aware that there would be construction and if we had known we would not have booked here. In addition to this, although the photos were an accurate representation of the property when you look closely the floors were extremely dirty and the bunk beds were almost falling apart. Overall the actual unit was bit older and a bit dingy. The sleeper couch is also extremely uncomfortable and adequate sheets were not provided. We were also only provided toilet paper for the first 24 hours, who does that? Never in all my years of going to condos have I had to purchase my own toilet paper.Just a side note as well, this condo tends to be a “party” condo, I would not recommend bringing kids or families, but if you are young and want that vibe then this is perfect for you.

Needs more maintenance

View was great but upon arrival we found a few issues that negatively impacted our stay. Neither the front door or the balcony door were locking. The front door was sagged so much that the strike plate was misaligned and not able to lock. The balcony door also wasn't able to lock but being that only a stronger adult could roll it to open it wasn't a concern anymore. Our biggest issue was with the bunk bed being very wobbly and unsafe having a broken structural board previously been broken and then patched up with screws. Because of this one of our children were not able to sleep in the bunk bed for the entire stay. We contacted the host about these issues and the front door locking issue was resolved but the rest of the issues weren't. We got tired of wasting hours being on the phone or having multiple different people come to attempt to repair or patch the bunk bed when in reality needed to be replaced, as noted by the first maintenance person that come to inspect it.

Pros: Great view, close walk to the beach, great outdoor pool, loved all the security, parking deck with assigned spot is amazing and the elevators are fast BUT The indoor pool and hot tub water, floor and area are disgusting and this unit itself needs a lot of maintenance. There was mold—I could see they cleaned some off the ceiling but I could still smell it then found it above the washer and dryer. The bathroom fan did not work. The bunk beds are so wobbly and there were roaches (I was told both of these had been taken care of). The couch and chair inside were so gross we had to cover with sheets to even be able to sit on them. The balcony couch was falling apart and the table and chairs were so rusted out there was rust all over the balcony and the legs looked like they were going to snap. We liked the Shores of Panama and will be staying here again just not in this unit.
