About this property

NEW Riverside air conditioned calm enclave

The Plaza Alde cottage consists of 2 bedrooms (one with 160 cm bed, other with 2 80 cm beds that can be made as 160cm), an open plan bright air-conditioned living room / fully new equipped kitchen (refrigerator / freezer, oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher), a shower room (with toilet), a separate WC and a laundry room with a washer / dryer. The living room has a convertible sofa to accommodate 6 people staying at the house.

Outside there is a private terrace with a dining table and a plancha. Relax and enjoy the view of the Espelette from the terrace dining table or garden lounge chairs. Or sit at the riverside table at the edge of the garden

* Arrival between 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
* Departure between 9:00 and 10:00 am

Bed linen / bath towels and cleaning are available as options.
* Linen option per person 15€
includes bedsheets, 1 hand towel, 1 bath towel, bathmat and 1 kitchen towel
* Cleaning option at the end of stay: 90€
* Linen and cleaning options are paid for upon arrival if option is chosen

Private parking is available on the driveway in front of the house.

Guest will have entire fully independent home.

There are other independent guest houses in the enclave.

Other things to note
Espelette is centrally located as a base for exploring Basque Country. Cambo Les Bains with famous spas and Arnaga the house of Edmond Rostand (the author of Cyrano de Bergerac) is 10 minutes in one direction. In another direction, Dantxaria, Spain, with discount shopping is just 10 minutes. Or you can enjoy the beaches and towns of Biarritz, Anglet and St Jean de Luz which are just 30 minutes away. The gourmet capital of San Sebastian, Spain is an hour away. There are many wonderful windy country roads where you pass wild horses called Pottoka, lots of sheep and cows and of course, growing piment d’Espelette!

nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion de voir notre hote mais avons été acceuillis par un agent d'entretien bien sympatique;pour la maison tout était neuf et en très bon état.Les restaurants vraiment au point aussi bien qu'aux alentours.Etant tous les deux handicapés nous n'avons pas pu profiter à fond des alentours.Par contre notre fils en profité.merci à vous

Over 10 years ago, we started renting out our second bedroom in the NYC apartment we shared.

We currently have 2 vacation rental homes in the Hamptons and an enclave with 4 properties and another house in France’s Basque Country.

Joop grew up in Holland but moved to London and then Biarritz France before settling in the US 20 years ago. Sharon grew up on Long Island and lived in NYC for 25 years before moving to more natural environments.

She has a psychology and anthropology degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Creative Studies from the State University of New York.
Joop has a degree in life experience with decades of worldwide adventures. We both believe in having fun and interesting things will follow.
