Beautiful and spacious made for 2 , with beach and Mountain View you have washer and dryer available right next to your balcony / hammocks to rest and enjoy on along with the sea breeze. Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood just minutes away from all the outdoor and new nightlife activities and local grocery store as well as bakeries. Your space is on the second floor of the property very cozy and comfortable with all that you need includingin private driveway for your rental we are TV/Wi-Fi ready with two AC units to cool off in this is your home away from yours.

Location is fantastic, walkable to a breakfast place, very calm neighborhood. Beach is less than 10 mins away. Inside was comfortable but very bare minimum, no frills! But everything you need is there. Balcony was our favorite, the breeze is so nice and the view is fantastic. Overall great stay. Host is very communicative.

The host Jay was so helpful and responsive. For the 2 of us this was the perfect place to rest after a full day of taking in all that PR has to offer. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is a simple 1 bedroom, well-priced and a great value. Also near a grocery store, bakery, gas station -- and a 5 min. drive to beaches, restaurants, etc

The property was excellent and fit our needs perfectly. It's located in a decent looking neighborhood and I noticed several homes had cameras up. The apartment itself was extremely neat and clean. We felt very secure due to the locking gate and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our stay.

Jay’s Home Was Amazing ! Everything Was Accurately portrayed in the photos. The neighborhood was very peaceful & quiet. The hot tub was nice to sit back & relax, hammock was cozy, could easily take a mid day nap outside on the hammock. Check in process was super smooth, Jay was also very responsive & also provided recommendations for activities/ food places. His home is very close to the beach & the kioskos in luquillo. Location was 10/10, stay was 10/10. My only advice to people who are interested in staying here is rent a car if you plan on venturing outside of luquillo, it’s about 45 mins away from San Juan with traffic & Ubers ran about 50 both times that I had to go into San Juan before I rented a car , other than that everything else was great ! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, for your hospitality. PR Es Otra Cosaaaaaa !!!!

Very cozy and quiet neighborhood. The 2 ACs were lifesavers. The outdoor area near the hot tub is cute - my son and I turned the heat off for a cooler pool-feel which was perfect! Washer & dryer were a big bonus. The only downside was unlocking the gate with a key each time we left or arrived - may benefit from an electronic code key. The walk to our side of the house was long and difficult to maneuver with luggage and a toddler. Overall it was good place to stay at!

A little disappointed

Jay’s place is in a nice neighborhood. The check in was easy and the place was comfortable and clean. There were also many things missing, some that were listed in the amenities, such as paper towels and body wash. There was only one bath towel in the bathroom. No other towels, such as a hand towel or even a bath mat. We did find one more bath towel and one beach towel in the closet.In the bedroom the bed support on the right side was crushed and collapsed. The problem had existed for a long time and was mentioned in a previous review. In the kitchen, even though there was a working oven, there was nothing to use to place in the oven and no potholders . There was no dishcloths. Also for the first two days the water in the shower was, at best, lukewarm. We did get hot water on the third day.Jay did respond to some of our requests, but ignored others. The bed was fixed for the second night. We enjoyed our stay in Luquillo, but would not choose to stay in Jay’s again.

Jay was very responsive and had all the necessities inside the apartment. Safe neighborhood with the beach nearby and food kiosks about 10 minutes away. Getting into the apartment itself was a hassle, as you have to walk through a few gates and walk all the way around the property. Would still recommend this to anyone looking to do activities near El Yunque Rainforest and the beach. San Juan is about 45 minutes away so there wasn’t much nightlife nearby.

Beautiful quiet location. We had a hard time finding the place, the address sent to us directly didn’t punch into Apple Maps or Waze easily, and the location on the listing is a bit away from where it is. It’s very private and safe, four gates to get to the front door. The cafe within walking distance is amazing. The first night the bed frame was so loud and we found one of the legs off in the morning, and another severely bent, looked to be rusted. I notified the owner in messages on the first of our four nights, and said it was manageable as long as it didn’t break further, never received a reply at all the rest of the stay. But we propped it back up and were careful when laying and it ended up being fine for the meantime, the mattress itself was comfortable. Shower had good pressure but was luke warm at best. Air conditioners were great.

The property was great and had included everything except the tv because the wifi wasn’t strong and we could not use it. Also there was miscommunication about parking so be mindful to confirm if bringing a vehicle.

Rental from hell

So I can say that the host was responsive. And the unit is exactly as pictured. But it is in no way a comfortable place to stay. You have to drag your luggage through the grass and walk all the way around the house to get up to the second floor. Once inside there are very few electrical outlets. The owner claimed that there was hot water but I let the water in the shower run for 20 minutes and it did not get hot so do not count on a hot shower the bed in the bedroom is missing a leg I am a heavy man and I was afraid to break the bed and be charged for it. I booked for seven nights I only stayed one night. The owner would not do anything to give me any portion of my money back this was a trip for me and my son for his 10th birthday our first time to Puerto Rico and after the first night my son wanted to go back home. We ended up renting another VRBO and our vacation turned out much better. Also the Wi-Fi is very crappy. Could not stream any videos on our phone or laptop and the only TV that is in the living room takes forever to load a show. Also the only furniture in the house is a futon that is outdated and very uncomfortable. I would say spend the extra money and get a better place the home is quite uncomfortable

Fantastic Stay at Jay’s Place! I recently stayed at Jay’s Place in Luquillo, PR, and it was an incredible experience. The place was immaculately clean and well-equipped with everything you need for a fun beach getaway. Jay is an outstanding host—he provided us with a comprehensive list of things to do in the area and was always available to answer any questions we had. The location is perfect, with restaurants and activities nearby, and El Yunque National Forest just minutes away. The ferry is about a 25-minute drive, making it easy to explore even more. The view from the property is breathtaking, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing vacation. No lie, we’re already thinking about booking Jay’s larger unit to bring our kids next time. Highly recommend Jay’s Place for anyone looking for a great stay in Luquillo!
