The apartment was very comfortable, cosy, and pretty quiet. The entry being on an alley was something I wasn't too sure about when I read the description (and some reviews) but it was really quite easy. I got back at midnight twice, and I was totally at ease. (Woman alone). Also being close to Butler was fun. So many little bars & cafes.
Beautiful, cozy, and clean! Loved this place and would definitely stay here again. Great location and not too far away from the downtown.

Awesome stay for a weekend trip. Cozy room and lots to see and do in the area. If I ever travel to Pittsburgh again I will be staying in this property!
We enjoyed our stay, great location to many good restaurants. Just what we needed for a short weekend.

There are definitely some pros and cons. The cons were: the entrance is in the back down a tiny little alley, there is a pit bull next door that will almost jump the fence for you, the steps going in are very dangerous. They are steep and there is no handrail. The shower is extremely small, you can’t even turn around. The pros were: it was clean and neat, although there was a pretty harsh dog smell, the bed was comfortable, and the temperature was perfect. The location was okay, it was about a 30 minute walk to our venue. We ended up taking an Uber back. We had an okay experience overall, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again. Just being honest.

Unfortunately we have no control over neighbors and their animals.
The shower is standart size( from Home depot).
I had no idea where your venue is , so maybe you needed to rent something closer to your destination?
I don't think you can expect red carpet entrance renting for $40.
Sorry about your experience
My friend and I spent a long weekend in Pittsburgh and absolutely loved our stay! It had everything we needed and was in a great neighborhood! We loved the space and it worked perfectly for us. I would definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay for a quick getaway in Pittsburgh. It was a really cool area to walk around to the different places to eat and shop, which are just a few blocks from the room. It was our first time staying in this part of town and would definitely come back and stay again. The place is really cute, comfy bed and had everything we needed.

Thank you Tara for kind words.
It's very inspirational for us .
Looking forward to host you again.
Very much as described. Great price for just using for overnights. Previous reviews were helpful and accurate as to entryway and steps. Only suggestion; a hand rail would be nice as entrance steps are steep. Overall, we had a good experience.
Pros first: The room was very comfortable and clean. The mattress was a dream. We slept very well. Cons: the smallest shower I have ever been in. The narrow walkway behind the house where the neighbors dog patrolled and growled at you while rushing the fence. Also you could hear every footstep and flushed toilet.
was cozy enough for a place to sleep - not much in the space to relax. Don't book this place if you are not able bodied. My wife walks with a cane and it was very difficult to get to the door and up the stairs with no handrail. But once inside it was clean and cozy. Bathroom is small, but water heats up fast in the shower and was very clean. Also came provided with an assortment of coffee and tea. Very nice.
