About this property
Family Cabin Near Smoky Mtn Entrance - Nantahala
Welcome to The Stargazer- a peaceful chalet with views of the Smokies! Sip your coffee out on the deck or snuggle up on the couch to catch the same stunning views! Enjoy the tranquil sounds of the nearby creek while the whole family makes s'mores around the fire. You get the best of both worlds here: tranquility among the trees; and easy access to outdoor activities, groceries, etc. Our cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen, smart TVs, a gas fireplace, WiFi, and everything you need to unwind!
The Stargazer is a newly remodeled, and thoughtfully-designed chalet-style cabin. It has everything you'll need to feel like home. The driveway leads you up behind the cabin, where you’ll be able to access the building with just your smartphone! Once you enter, you’ll be in awe of the views that you can see straight from the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, everything you’ll need for your whole group to enjoy delicious meals is already here! From the complimentary coffee station to all the kitchen supplies you will need for a whole family, you only have to bring your groceries!
Enter the private dining room to enjoy meals around the table. The little ones are taken care of with a high chair and kid-friendly plates, cups, and utensils. The dining room also boasts of long range mountain views, so you never miss a beat.
The primary and guest bedrooms are also on the first floor! After a long drive, you’ll want to dive into the super comfy queen memory foam bed in the primary suite or take a warm shower in the en-suite bathroom with dual vanities, and a walk-in shower. Enjoy the rainfall walk-in shower in the secondary bathroom as well! Both the secondary bedroom and the loft have full size beds with extra blankets to use as you wish! We have also set aside a dedicated work space for you to sneak in the last little bit of work you may need to do before completely unplugging for your stay! A Pack n Play is also available for the little ones to catch some Zzzz's.
Sleeping arrangements:
- Primary: Queen Bed
- Secondary: Full Bed
- Loft: Full Bed, Sofa Bed (full) x2
- Living Room: Sofa Bed
Step out to the wrap-around deck and enjoy the sun-kissed mountain views as you sip your coffee on the rocking chairs. Or go out and take a walk up the the acre of undisturbed private land right behind the home. Throughout the property, you can hear the nearby rushing creek, reminding you to take it all in.
Wifi is via an over the air signal as opposed to a hard line and can be spotty at times. It’s generally strong enough to stream and ‘work from home’ on but we cannot guarantee its signal strength/function at any give time.
Pets are welcome for an additional cleaning fee.

Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire property and will receive instructions on how to get access to the front door using the August Home app.
Guests may explore the undeveloped property behind the home, and should accompany children at all times. Treat it as a hiking trail, and use caution accordingly.
Other things to note
You may run into the neighbor’s mid-size dog named Max who sometimes wanders onto the property. Please do not feed or pet him.
Driveway: like most mountain homes, it is steep. However, most vehicles do not have a problem getting up and down because our driveway is short. Low-to-the-ground cars may prefer to do a 3 point turn at the top and go down the entrance. Not suited for motorcycles (unless you park in the grassy area at the bottom of the hill on our property)
For the security of our guests and property, we have external security cameras at the front and side door entrances. The cameras cannot see inside the house. They record video and audio of the driveway, deck, and street. The cameras will be on during your stay.

About the host
Your host

Hi, I’m Chi! My husband, Joseph, and I have always loved our anniversary trips to the mountains. We would always rent a cabin and take time to just enjoy nature. Now, we’re so happy to be able to provide people with that same experience right here in the Smokies of NC. We look forward to hearing about all your adventures!
