Very clean. Road noise during daytime hours from nearby highway.Very well-equipped kitchen for longer stay was great.Nice to have 1-1/2 baths.Lots of items on surfaces that we had to be careful of.
This was a lovely unit and was decorated beautifully! Very nice and clean and a terrific location - close to everything. A short drive to some great restaurants as well as hiking and waterfalls. Would definitely stay again!

This unit was impeccably clean, professionally decorated, wonderfully comfortable, and had high end furnishings. Host was considerate on quality and quantity of amenities. Location was easy to access and was safe. We enjoyed being there.
This condo unit was great! It was super clean with comfortable furniture. The location is convenient to hiking, golf, restaurants, fishing and shopping. The property owners were very responsive to questions about the unit and the local area.

Shauna we enjoyed having you in our home. Thank you for the glowing review. I apologize that our community has stairs and no elevator, often the case in a rural mountain situation. The only accommodation in the area with an elevator is the Hampton Inn.
I hope all our guests are as delightful as you.
Thank you,
Chase
The property was super clean and ready for us to make ourselves at home. Some basic necessities were there like TP, paper towels, soap, shampoo, paper plates, etc. wireless was easy. Porch was furnished nicely. Great place to spend weekend. The pool was a nice quiet place to relax. I recommend it and would stay again.

This is a very clean, comfortable, well appointed condo.
The location is excellent and the owners are exceptionally responsive to any questions. There is no elevator, but there are some fairly easily accessible steps to take getting to the unit.

Thank you Susan,
We’re glad you had a nice stay.
We do try very hard to provide the best experience we can. Unfortunately we are unable to install an elevator at this location. But we do provide a clean, beautiful and safe environment to enjoy while you stay in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. Our location is steps from the lake and 5 minute's to local restaurants and a grocery store.

The unit was very nice and well decorated. We enjoyed it. Our family had owned 3 D Hilltop from 1971 until 2017 and have continued going up since. One problem we have is steps. I am 80 and my wife will be soon and it was difficult going down from the parking area and up to the 3rd floor. I wish steps had been advertised.
Otherwise all was well.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. And thank you for the fabulous review. We try very hard to provide a memorable experience. A stay in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, any one of the highest elevations in the state, often involves stairs. Those stairs provide us with a view our neighbors don’t all enjoy.
As a former owner I’m sure you’re aware.
Please come back. Your always welcome !
This location is central to so many great adventures. Swimming, river tubing, hiking, and state parks. Ingles in Cashiers are great for groceries and other shopping plus Highlands just 30 mins away has a quaint downtown village with many unique shops and restaurants.
The accommodations here are very comfortable and clean. For a couple, eveything you need is here. A full kitchen and apartment sized washer/dryer. Lots of parking on site and access to the Fairfield amenities is available if desired.
We cooked a few meals and enjoyed eating out at Mica's in Sapphire and the Zookeeper Bistro in Cashiers.
The mountain air here is so fresh, the area so picturesque, a great place to relax and enjoy some quiet time!
This condo was exactly as described with one exception: the owners fail to describe how much detail they put into preparing this unit. Absolutely every need was anticipated and prepared for. We have stayed in so many condos over the years and have never been in one so carefully appointed. The whole week, we kept discovering new treats, left for our enjoyment. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts on the large back porch, where we saw a doe and buck nibbling, and were visited by tiny birds. We always love the Fairfield Lake hike and this time, enjoyed a peaceful afternoon in a kayak. Overall, a perfect vacation, only possible because of the wonderful accommodations.

Thank you Martha.
Indeed we try very very hard to create a space to delight and charm our guests.
Thank you for taking the time to notice the details. We are avid art and antique collectors. We want each guest to feel wrapped in comfort and warmth.
Lake Fairfield is treat that few get to enjoy by simply walking out the front door. Not to mention all the amenities we offer in Sapphire Valley.
Please please come visit us any time. You’re always welcome in our Snug .

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disappointing
The fragrance inside the condo was very strong. It was a floral scent. I could not stop coughing even after opening sliding doors to air out the rooms. It was a hot day and my husband was uncomfortably warm. We stayed for about 15 minutes and sadly realized we would not be able to stay at the condo. We left and drove back to Florida. We feel that we should be refunded.

I’m sorry you chose to leave before reaching out to us to address any issues.. Had you contacted us before your departure we would have encouraged you to use the air conditioner to cool off the condo. The remote was on top of the binder that has all the information on our condo with instructions for air conditioning and heating. Please read those before you feel a panic. I would also have invited you to throw away the diffuser that a former guest left us as a thank you for their stay at our home.
In the future please let owners know of your sensitivity to temperature and scents.
Please allow them the opportunity to correct any situation before you decide to leave.
Great condo, excellent location, great hosts.
Construction still going on near building but was never a problem. Steps going up and down to condo unit could be a
challenge for some people.especially when dark.
We were looking forward to enjoying our morning coffee & the cool weather on the back porch, but the constant noise from Hwy 64 made that impossible. It was far from peaceful as advertised
Also, the ongoing construction of the building precluded enjoying the front balcony.
Thankfully there was a free-standing dual heater/air conditioner in both the bedroom & Living room. We ran them every time we were in the unit to mitigate traffic noise.
As someone else mentioned, the stairs from the parking lot, down to the buildings staircase you use to go up 2 flights to the condo, need repair & have little lighting. I would suggest carrying a flashlight if returning after dark
The price was attractive, but we would have appreciated knowing about the construction. It was my error for not realizing how loud the traffic noise would be, so close to Hwy
Once inside, the condo was lovely, spacious, comfortable, well appointed & most important clean!
The many supplies one would need to bring or run to Ingles for are ABUNDANTLY provided.
As well as items to go fishing, sports folding chairs, ice chests, etc
The boat dock, lake with trail are all within walking distance of the condo.
The many amenities of the Sapphire Resort for $2 per day were a treat & more than we could do in our 5 day stay.
Very good location…… loved being in the woods!
This Villa has “everything” you need right down to Kleenex, no need to pack anything but clothes. Love that feature.
THE UNIT: is meticulously clean. Both the family room and bedroom are very spacious. The kitchen has both types of coffee makers (pot brew and K-cup) with a coffee bar tray. We thoroughly enjoyed having a relaxing Happy Hour every afternoon on the beautiful back balcony.
THE RESORT AMENITIES: We took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. Our favorite was hanging out at Fairfield Lake.
DINING: Both casual and fine dining are within a 10 minute drive - in both Sapphire and Cashiers.
THE OWNERS: were awesome to work with. Every time I had a question, an informative response was quickly delivered.
The set up inside perfect and the porch is just right. Very nicely decorated and very clean. The entrance has several steps going down into the condo area and then two flights up to the condo. It was raining on arrival and there was rain each day so now that we are at the retirement age, we were very cautious:)
every thing was very nice.
could not figure out how to open the bear proof garbage container.
great amenities
property and room were very clean and comfortable

Although our condo is all one level there are steps to reach it from either parking area. It could be a concern if you have mobility issues. We are both in our 50’s with parents in their 80’s and have no difficulty. But there are those who may.
