This is an urban, multicultural neighborhood in the heart of Pittsburgh’s historic North Side. Some homes are beautifully renovated, while others are still being restored—it’s part of the city’s ongoing revitalization, as seen at the Garden Theatre.
You will occasionally see or hear Allegheny General Hospital’s helicopter—it’s part of the city atmosphere (and many guests find it exciting to watch!).
You may encounter neighbors experiencing homelessness. Please approach with empathy; your stay supports local revitalization and small businesses.
If you’re looking for a suburban experience, this may not be the right fit. If you embrace city life, culture, and diversity—you’ll love it here.

Happy Traveling my friends—Cheers!
Why they chose this property
Originally settled by German immigrants in the mid-19th century, Deutschtown has retained much of its cultural heritage, with rows of houses and some grand historic homes reflecting its rich past. It’s also home to Pittsburgh’s oldest parks, providing green spaces for relaxing strolls, outdoor activities, and community events.
Our property is especially convenient for anyone visiting Allegheny General Hospital—the hospital is located directly across the street from our parking lot. This makes the home a great option for families visiting patients or for traveling healthcare professionals. Street parking is generally accessible and free with validation, and additional parking is available in the hospital’s lot if needed.
Overall, we were drawn to Loraine Street for its historic beauty, unbeatable convenience, and walkable charm, making it the perfect neighborhood for our row house and for sharing the best of Pittsburgh with our guests.
What makes this property unique
Classic row house charm: The home reflects the historic architecture of Deutschtown, with character you won’t find in newer builds.
Steps from green space: Just a short walk away, Pittsburgh’s oldest parks offer a place to unwind—whether it’s a morning jog, an afternoon stroll, or simply enjoying some fresh air.
Walkable neighborhood energy: Loraine Street is tucked in the heart of the North Side, close to local restaurants, cafes, and pubs, while still being minutes from downtown and the stadiums.
Convenient parking: Unlike many city rentals, our row house includes private off-street parking, plus easy access to street and garage options nearby.
