This two-story home sits at the base of the trees in the outskirts of Clinton, just a seven-mile drive from the Clinton-Mukilteo Ferry Terminal. It's a great location for exploring Whidbey, with Sunlight Beach (seven miles), picturesque downtown Langley (nine miles), and Double Bluff Beach (11 miles) all close by.

It's a joy to begin your mornings here - sipping a mug of Whidbey Coffee on the covered back patio, looking for nesting bald eagles in the treetops, and heading into the garage for a workout on the Peloton bike. It's the perfect place to cap each evening as well, holding air hockey tournaments, playing video games, and streaming your favorite movies on the garage TV.

The main floor is an open, light-filled space, bringing together a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining area, and a living room with both a gas fireplace and a smart TV. A second living space awaits upstairs, offering another TV and a desk where you can log onto the complimentary WiFi in peace. All of the bedrooms are upstairs as well, including a primary suite with its own bathroom and balcony.

5 star house, 0 star management

This is a really nice house, with big rooms. There are tons of games & toys for all ages, gym equipment, lots of towels etc. and a well-equipped kitchen (as guest houses go). We had two issues, but I would have given it five stars, had the absentee management company, Vacasa, been of ANY use. We arrived late afternoon and the house had a significant musty smell, plus we couldn't find a way to make our morning coffee. So I texted Vacasa. 10 hours later, at 3AM, they replied. Each of their replies took 4+ hours. One rep thought we were in Africa. They asked me 2 more times to search for a coffee maker. At 8PM of our last night they texted "the local staff is working on resolving this issue for you". Well, it's a 10AM checkout so clearly the "local" staff aren't doing anything that will help me. We left with neither issue addressed in the least, just wasted time. Airing the house did dissipate the smell, although it came back when the house was closed. The only coffee apparatus of any kind is a pods machine, so unless you travel with pods you're on your own. (We put paper towels in the bottom of the pasta colander as a make-shift pour-over filter.) Again, the place itself is really nice, but don't count on the "local" management to be of any use. I have rented houses that are owned by families, and when something was wrong either somebody came over, or they asked me to buy whatever I needed and they'd pay me back - always a prompt and suitable solution. Not with Vacasa.

Great rural getaway for the price

First time renting a house it was much better than cramming 3 people into a small motel room for 4 days. There were a lot of games and TVs with fire sticks available and it could sleep several people. Lots of space nice back yard lots of deer in the area. AC isn't needed opening windows keeps the place cool. About 15 minutes from the ferry. Take bug spray for hanging out in the yard. Red Apple is the closest grocery store Google maps will send you to a gas station when searching grocery stores.

Perfect for a family stay!

Not only was the property beautiful and clean, but it had lots of great family amenities. The air hockey table, frisbee, and video game table were hits with our crew! The kitchen was well stocked and bedrooms were super comfortable with great mattresses, pillows, and linens. If we returned to Whidbey Island, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again! One of the better VRBO rentals we’ve ever stayed in!
