Surrounded by mountain, forest, garden, wild life, and the best private sandy beach in this area, our no bank ocean front guest house cottage feels quiet and far away, yet it is only two miles from downtown Kingston with shops and ferries (35min to downtown Seattle, 25min to Edmonds). Nearby gardens, little towns, Olympic mountains, and hot springs are also waiting for you to explore.

Please note:
1)Your door code will be sent to you on your arrival day about 4pm.
2) Please note this is a rural area and the lawn and paths are uneven in places. 3)Guests may encounter wild life. Please don't feed wild life and don't leave any food outdoor. Please don't put any food scrapes in the garbage can outside. Please put food scrapes in the container we provided inside the house.
4)Please keep food in sealed plastic bags or put all the food in the refrigerator.
5)The cottage has city water. The property is on a septic system. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper.
6) Roads can be curvy and steep. We highly recommend four wheel drive and/or proper chains during the snow months (November to March).
7)The maximum number of guests is limited to 5 persons. The total fee varies by the number of guests. Please enter the accurate number of guests when make your reservation.
If adding more guests after booking, extra fees will apply.
Only those on the reservation are allowed on the premises. No parties. No smoking.

**Liability Waiver: Any beach sports/activities, the use of any watercraft, and the use of any sport equipments are at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty and you accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising during your stay at our cottage and you hold the Property Owners, and Host harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that beach sports/activities, water proximity and watercraft may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person doing beach sports/activities or using watercraft if a person has health risks, or while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for all accidents or injury that may occur inside or outside the home. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the property owners and the host for accidents or claims regarding any and all incidents that may occur on the property. All Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirmation by booking this home constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between all Guests, the property owners, and the Host.

Peaceful beach getaway

This is an exceptional location for observing both nature and the varied ships sailing by. My grandkids loved the sandy beach and spotting rabbits, deer, eagles and orcas! It was a truly peaceful and relaxing stay. The host is very warm and helpful in every way.

This is the perfect beach retreat. The Sound is steps away, and the atmosphere is peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed walking the shore, collecting shells, watching the boats and ships pass by, and enjoying the host's gorgeous gardens. The guest house is simple and easy, with everything you'll need. Not far away are quaint little towns like Port Gamble and Poulsbo. Highly recommended, and we hope to return one day!

Nicely equipped, older cottage in a very private area with a fantastic beach location. We had it all to ourselves. It is down a narrow private road. The cottage had everything we needed. Saw lots of wildlife in and out of the water. Host was very nice and accommodating. I would stay here again.

Very Quiet place on the beach

This was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay for four days. We both have very demanding careers and this simple cozy little cottage (beach house) was the perfect solution allowing us to shed away all the corporate stresses of the world. Tanya was an exceptional host too!!

Puget Sound retreat

Such a beautiful area of Puget Sound! Gorgeous view of the water with Edmonds across the Sound. Low tide is like being inside the Touch Tank at the aquarium. Abundant with marine life! The beach at high tide is sandy and lovely to walk on or sit and enjoy the view with otters, sea lions, osprey, etc. Also, very quiet and peaceful. The house is older but comfortable and clean. We loved our stay there.

Weird cottage

This is the most thrown together property I have ever seen. It felt like something patched together from the refurbished store. Seriously, the pink bathtub had a 3/4” ball valve on it for the shower. The doors are so weird, no two match and it has lanyards as door pulls. The beach view is gorgeous, but for the price skip this one.

Serenity Now!

There’s not much more I can say outside of FANTASTIC!!! The property was exactly as described, which just doesn’t do it justice! It’s located down a nice private drive, away from the hustle and bustle of other tourists such as myself going to and fro from the ferry. Which is conveniently close as well. And the shops in Kingston and Edmonds were truly wonderful and friendly to visit. I can’t say enough about the cottage though. It was fantastic and it was just what we needed to enjoy our trip. It was amazing to wake up in the morning and go outside and enjoy my coffee with the very serene view and nature surrounding the area. Felt very much at home, and was able to find peace and calmness as we started each day and ended every evening. I will definitely be back!

Incredible Location!

House is cozy & rustic, but space is used well and we had everything we needed. The location simply can’t be beat!! Just steps to a sandy beach that we had to ourselves the entire time we were there. We loved watching the big ships that pass by and saw bald eagles on every beach walk. My kids had SO much fun exploring and finding “treasures.” We spent our evenings by a fire on the beach, watching the sunset and making s’mores. Made some great memories and will definitely come back to this area again! Just a note: This isn’t listed as a “guest cottage,” but the owner does live right next to the house and was around during our stay. Tanya was very kind and accommodating, but if you feel uncomfortable about the owner being around, this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, would absolutely recommend!

Orcas, Eagles and more!

I love this place!! Can’t wait to come back next year. I saw orcas two different days, Eagles almost every day, sea lions, deer and more. Huge ships go right by!! Tanya and her husband are the best hosts! This house is exactly as described. I had everything I needed. Comfy beds, beautiful views from all of the front side windows, full size fridge and stove, washer and dryer. I was there 12 nights and was sad to leave. Kingston and the surrounding area have alot to offer in the way of experiences. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity with a large dose of wildlife and views this is the place for you.

Wonderful experience

Clean, comfortable, and amazing view. We saw wildlife on land and water, lots of shipping traffic, and beautiful views all from the comfort of a cozy living room. Lovely beach to walk on and so quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

A delightful cottage!

We absolutely enjoyed this wonderful, comfortable home. It is a small cottage but the layout provides enough room and good spaces and privacy for family members. We had everything we needed, plus access to the best sandy beach! So close to many restaurants, shops, sight seeing, and the ferry. Our thanks to Tanya for a very special visit.

Quiet and Peaceful

We rented this unit for a family get together and everything was as described, including the wildlife sightings. One morning, my daughter was able to sit on the beach and watch 4 sea otters frolick about 10 yards off shore, and there were a couple resident deer sightings as well.

This house is 2 miles from town in a very quiet location with a beautiful view of Puget Sound and distant mountains from the big living room windows. There are 2 houses very near it, and the house could use some updating, but it worked great for us and the host was very nice.

Nice quiet time on the beach.

We booked this property for a two night stay. We had a lovely quiet day on the beach the first day we were there. The beach is pretty secluded with only a small number of homes nearby. The second day felt rushed and stressful trying to get the cleaning done and out by 11am. To be fair, we have a small child, so there is always more cleaning to do. I think I would enjoy it more if I had time for a longer stay.

We have lived and raised our kids in this beautiful area for more than 20 years. In our spare time we enjoy walking on the beach, tending to our garden and exploring the National Olympic parks and little towns in this area that are filled with local art, gardens, and enticing scenery. We renovated our cottage and create an place with wood floors, 3 confortable beds in 3 private rooms with windows, and some unique finitures and local arts. We hope that you would love and enjoy our place!
