The Wee Nook, just 3 miles from Carver Landing!

The Wee Nook is a cottage tucked away in a peaceful, lovely location near the national park. Use it as a base for hiking nearby trails, or floating the Buffalo River (just 3 miles from Carver Landing). There are six Highland cows that roam the pastures surrounding the home, along with plenty of wildlife on the property. There's a wet-weather creek that flows from approximately December to April (depending on rain fall). Come relax in the gorgeous Ozarks!

***I will send you a map pin, as the address isn't recognized by map apps*** Also please note the home is down a mile long gravel driveway, with a steep hill. I've had no trouble in my 2wd SUV, but I don't recommend motorcycles!!

So cozy and comfy!

Cannot say enough about how great this place was and how nice the property owner is! Really close to 3 Buffalo River access points. I recommend going to the Carver one! I fed the highland cows too! Had a wonderful stay.

Our Wee Nook stay

The Wee Nook was very quiet and relaxing. The cabin was clean,cozy and had everything you would need for a pleasant stay. If you love solitude then you will love this place.

A fantastic place to stay

Wife and I made an overnight trip out to The Wee Nook. The place is on the back corner of the property and is very quiet. The property is really nice and has two levels. The kitchen, den and bath / laundry room is on the 1st floor with the bedroom on the 2nd. This is a terrific weekend getaway location.

Out of everywhere we stayed on our trip this was the cleanest and most homey of them all. Host was quick to respond to any questions we had! Definitely recommend!

More comfort for senior citizen floaters

The younger couples on our annual kayak/canoe trip down the Buffalo camped at Blue Hole. However, this 70+ age couple enjoyed the comfort of staying at the Wee Nook instead of primitive camping.

There be cows in them hills!

Fantastic retreat in the secluded mountains, with all the amenities you could need! My wife and I stayed here after a kayak trip on the Buffalo River. This was a nice respite before our 4 hour drive back home. We loved visiting with the highland cows. There's no manure smell at the Wee Nook, just fresh mountain air. Steep(ish) inside stairs but a well placed nightlight helps you get down them at night. WIFI worked great and while minor, I loved that there were specific streaming accounts (Netflix, Hulu, and Prime) for the cabin. No having to wade through 7 different profiles hoping that you aren't messing up the owners' watch history, language preferences, etc.. Great contact with the hosts. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Mountain Stay

I was SOO happy with the little Wee Nook. It was perfect for our stay. I do have a few suggestions. I would have loved to have wrote down things we liked and adventures we did, where we came from and how we ended up in your “Neck of the woods”… I would suggest getting a guestbook of some sort so your guests can share their stories. My friend and I stayed in one in North Carolina last year and reading all the stories was fun. Really enjoyed that u had left suggestions on nearby places to visit… and we Loved watching “Jolene” bounce around in the pasture… she’s such a cutie. I’ll definitely book again. Thanks so much…

This little home that is nestled at the bottom of a country lane is the PERFECT place for a quiet, pituresque getaway. The gorgeous nearby mountainsides full of pines, sycamores, oak, and elm trees along with the Buffalo River winding nearby made it absolutely even more stunning. The Highland cattle were so precious and made my absolute day each and every day that I spent giving them treats and pets or just watching them peacefully graze. I LOVED it hereand will definitely return asap. Ashley and Andrew were amazing hosts and made certain that we felt at home, comfortable, relaxed, and at ease in their home away from home; the Wee Nook. This was the cleanest and most precious rental I have ever stayed in. I cannot say enough good things about the home, the area, the people, or the cows. Love. Love. Love. Can I pet that baby cow!!!?!!!

Great property that is fairly close to everything you want. The cows were really cute. The stairs are very steep in case you have children or older folks staying here.

This is the second year I have stayed at the Wee Nook. It is located on a beautiful property in the country. The Host is a very nice woman who is always quick with an answer if I have any questions about the house or the surrounding areas. very professional. The house is clean and comfortable. We adore everything about the Ozarks, and make our home here. From beautiful mountain vistas to rolling green valleys.....the Ozarks has it all!

What makes this property unique

The Wee Nook is a cozy spot I want you to feel right at home in. You'll be very near the Buffalo, as well as several hiking trails (Sam's Throne is the closest one). Make yourself comfortable by the firepit after a day full of exploring, or give the Highland cows a chin scratch. They're quite friendly, but do be mindful that they are big animals with hooves, teeth, and horns, so please don't enter their fence!
