We loved staying here! It was super spacious, and had everything you could possibly need! Short walking distance to wrigley field and a lot of places to eat around.

Parking with the passes was simple and directly outside. The house was spacious and clean. It was in a great area with easy access to subway and great restaurants. Plus, we were able to bring our dog! We all loved it and will likely be back.

The overall condition of this place was the worst I’ve seen in any of my VRBO stays. See photos. Many lights did not work. Ceilings are cracked and flacking down. The frig did not cool despite being set at the highest level. We kept our perishables in our cooler instead of the frig. Living room sofa is soiled & worn with failing springs. Bathroom vanity has a hole in the side & exposed bare wood. Smoke alarm in the dining room does not work. Smoke alarm in the kitchen was on the counter and the battery labeled 2019. The place offers no off-street parking & daily parking permits are 20 each.

We were genuinely surprised to read this, as we did not receive any communication about these concerns during your stay—and you had mentioned that you were having a great time. We always encourage guests to reach out in real time so we can promptly address anything that comes up. Had we been notified, we would have taken care of any issues immediately. To address your specific points: Lighting: All primary lighting is functional; if a bulb was out, it’s something we quickly replace when notified. Refrigerator: The refrigerator is in proper working condition. We have not had issues reported before or after your stay, and would have responded right away if alerted. Smoke detectors: Safety is a top priority. The unit is equipped with working detectors, and any concern would have been addressed immediately. Furnishings & cosmetic wear: As with any lived-in home, there may be minor cosmetic imperfections, but the unit is professionally cleaned and maintained between every stay. Parking: Street parking and permit costs are clearly disclosed in the listing so guests can plan accordingly in advance. We take all feedback seriously and will double-check everything mentioned, but this description does not reflect the typical experience of our guests. We remain committed to providing a great stay and appreciate when guests communicate concerns during their visit so we can make things right right away.

The home was dated but clean and comfortable. Beds were good (although depiction of bunk bed on pictures was not accurate - that is where the master bedroom is located). The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking/serving breakfast in the morning and included a few provided items like coffee and sugar. Grocery store was close by. We used the laundry (5 to do one washer and dryer load) and it was fine. Communication with the host was great.
