About this property

The Boat House - Waterfront at Auke Bay with Discounts on Tours

You'll love the mountain and ocean views from your two-bedroom retreat spot in this charming harbor community!

It's in the sunniest spot in Juneau! Enjoy amazing sunsets, paddle boards, kayaks, a whale watching tour or a fishing charter. There are plenty of activity options, and great eateries in this charming harbor community! Devil's Hideaway, next door, serves great hamburgers and hot wings. Forbidden Peak Brewery and Squires business complex is across the street. The complex hosts three restaurants, a hair salon, a second-hand retail shop, a laundromat, and the sports bar with a view at Auke Bay-Squirez Rest.

This private, entire apartment, is on the third floor of a three-story building. South-west facing, ocean and mountain views are enjoyed from the dining and living rooms, or from the balcony vantage point during an evening cocktail or snack!

The kitchen is stocked with cooking equipment, oven/range, microwave, toaster, kettle, and coffee pot. The TV is a smart TV so you can stream your favorite apps. You'll have a parking spot, and coin-op laundry is available in the building.

The Boat House is in picturesque, Auke Bay harbor parking lot, just 1.5 miles from the Juneau Ferry Terminal, 3.5 miles from the airport, 5.5 miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier, less than a mile from the University of Alaska, and 11.5 miles from Downtown Juneau. Squires Plaza, Forbidden Peaks Brewery, Deharts convenience store, Fisherman's Bend dock and gas station, post office, university, school and churches are all within close walking distance.

You'll have access to your private two-bedroom apartment. Both bedrooms have Queen sized beds. Your unit has a full bath, kitchen, and living room.

Your entire private apartment is self check-in so late arrival is not a problem. You'll be given the lock box code a few days prior to your arrival.

Check-in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am. We will offer you early check-in and late check-out options if it's available, a couple days before your arrival/departure for a fee of $50.

Host, Kelli, happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska, and offers 10% discount on all tours offered by the company, Alaska Travel Adventures, to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. If you're interested in this discount, just ask Kelli for the details.

We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review! Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows:

Easy check-in process – You'll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lock box code. You'll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4pm. We offer early check-in options, if it's available a couple days prior to your arrival for $25-$50, depending on your arrival time.

Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. She'll respond to web site messages as soon as she can.

Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean.

Great Auke Bay Location – It's a block from the city bus stop and in the heart of Auke Bay walking community. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley/Auke Bay, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown. If you want to be downtown, and don't want to take a 45 minute bus ride to go 15 miles, then this space is not for you.

Accurate Description of the space - I try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do my best to keep the changes updated and published. If I missed something please let me know, so I can update the information. If you are missing something you were counting on, please let me know immediately, so I can try to provide it for your stay.

Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night and have additional people. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have to charge more when the business is there, so that we can afford to have it vacant for long, slow periods.

Have a fantastic trip!
