This property checks every box! Plenty of room and everything you need to cook, relax, watch movies and visit. Close to a lovely pool area and beach across the street. The hosts are very accommodating and prompt to respond to any questions, concerns. Highly recommend!!

Pleasantly surprised at how much we LOVED this home. From the photos, I wasn’t excited about the outdated kitchen and bathrooms, BUT it was SO clean and well equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay. THE VIEWS CANNOT be beat! We had rain pretty much the entire week and we were so happy to at least have this view and a couple of amazing sunsets since we couldn’t really even get to the beach. Our sons really enjoyed kayaking when they could and catching crab. They used the bikes to ride into town. The location of this home is also AMAZING! Walking distance to everything in downtown Duck and even a short walk to the beach. The unit came with a wagon, beach chairs, umbrellas, and spike ball for beach days. Would 100% stay again and pray for sunny weather next time.

This was our second stay in the Croatoan house and it was better than the last time. We used more of the amenities that were available to us, such as kayaks on the sound, the wagon to bring our things to the beach, and access to the pool and the tennis courts across the street. The lawn outside and the driveway were great places to use the pickle ball and badminton sets we brought with us. We ate every dinner on the in the screened in porch.We loved watching the sunrise from the deck every night. The living room was perfect for our family hang outs. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking at home and serving a breeze.In the location, close to the boardwalk and Duck, is ideal!

Thank you for your review . We have an award winner Dreamcloud Premier Hybrid mattress in the king bedroom and I have ordered the same for the queen and the twin bedroom. We provide a starter pack with a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and a roll of paper towels in the kitchen.

The perfect location in Duck! Our family had a great stay - we loved having the ability to walk into town and to the beach. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the deck with a beautiful view of the sound, and the sunsets were incredible! The house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely like to stay here again if visiting the outer banks.

exactly what we needed !!...this is by far the best rental we've experienced in duck in over a decade...the perks are abundant...the owners and management are excellent in addressing any questions/issues that may arise, at least in our case...you can tell it's a place that has been well-loved by a family...lucky ducks !...if you're looking for something sparkly and new with all of the bells and whistles, this is not the place for you...it's a place that's lived-in, has many great features and toys, is extremely well-situated, and will linger in your memories...we will most certainly return again and again...thank you so much, ella !

We absolutely loved our time at Croatoan! The home was absolutely spotless, roomy, and had everything we needed. We had a cracked toilet seat and the screened porch screen was ripped, within hours both were fixed. The sunset views at night were unmatched. Loved having the pool access and close proximity to walk to Sunset Grille or shops in Duck.

Property was very clean and comfortable. Owner answered emails promptly. Would stay again. If you are a stargazer, light pollution all night (!) from the nearby Sunset Grill pier is an issue. Location is very convenient to all things Duck!

Very comfortable house for 7 adulys and a 9 year old. Weather unfortunately was not good for us either day we were there. Would have loved yo use the kayaks etc. Ocean access was easy however the nor-easter was not beach friendly and the pool looked great! Will plan on coming back to Croatoan house for sure! Towels and bedding was extremely nice too!

We live in Columbia, MD. My husband is a structural engineer and I am an anesthesiologist. We have two daughters, one lives in Vancouver and the other is a registered nurse in Baltimore, MD. We all love the beach and water sports.

Why they chose this property

We discovered Duck over 20 years ago and kept coming back every chance we got. We always rented a house on the sound side because we love to windsurf and it was easy to access the water. We love our location in Duck because of the beautiful sunsets on the sound, and it is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Ships Watch community has great amenities
including a great pool and tennis courts.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy the sound side location of our house.The sunsets you can watch from the deck are incredible!
The Sunset Grill Restaurant is a close walk from our house and Tommie's Market is very convenient for shopping.
Attached to the Sunset Grill Restaurant is a Jet Ski and Parasailing rental place.
