Nice property that worked well for us, so we were satisfied although not enthralled. Property was clean but not well maintained. AC in one area did not work correctly and one of the large refrigerators took two days to finally reach proper cool temperature after we filled it with room temperature items. Lack of ramp access made things difficult for our wheelchair family members. Host was extremely cooperative and did what he could for us. Labor day price was high but that was to be expected. Lake access for swimming was not good for anyone over 30. Too slippery and pebbly for most of us. Toilet paper was awful so it would be wise to bring your own.

Very clean and well-kept house. You won’t believe how quiet and peaceful the place is until you experience it in person. The full-size basketball and volleyball courts were a great bonus, and we really enjoyed them. The firepit by the lake made the evenings even better. I never thought much about Johnsburg before, but honestly, I liked this place even more than Lake Geneva. Brian is a great host, very accommodative .

The Johnsburg Estate is a great place for a larger group to hang out. The home has a lovely area to gather all together, as well as many nooks and rooms for individuals to get some down time. The home comes equipped with all you need for a great time away, and the hot tub and lake views were amazing for winter! The owner is super responsive and was very helpful to us!

The host responded quickly to any questions we had. The house definitely let our family spread out for a birthday weekend celebration. Kitchen amenities were abundant and plenty of seating for meals and games. Hot tub warmed us up during the cold three night stay. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy all the outside amenities.

We rented this home for our kids’ prom weekend, and it could not have been more perfect. The house had absolutely everything we needed for the kids to have an amazing and memorable time. There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out, relax, and enjoy the weekend, and the property was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described.The amenities were fantastic and kept everyone entertained all weekend long. The kids especially loved the kayaks, foosball table, pool table, and ping pong table. It truly felt like there was something for everyone.The owner was incredibly responsive, helpful, and wonderful to work with from start to finish. Any questions we had were answered right away, which made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable.We truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout the home and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun, comfortable, and well-equipped place for a group getaway or special occasion.

We had a group of 12 guys for our annual guys trip. We had such a good time, and it was such an awesome property. There are multiple wings of the house and also a separated bunk room so there was plenty of room and everyone was able to have a good level of privacy. Just a huge property with so much to do and wish we had more time to get to it all!

Our party of 11, plus a dog, had a great time because of the many assets of this house, and in spite of many, many problems. It's right on the lakeshore, has a huge yard with firepit and lots of chairs, ample kayaks and a few pfd's, big gas grill and dining area on the patio, hot tub, game garage with foosball, Ping-Pong and pool tables, and a basketball hoop. The house is very large with plenty of room to spread out, and is close to stores, restaurants, and fun things to do.But, we couldn't open any windows because many don't have screens, and the ones that do have holes. The dishwasher isn't installed properly, and it's a project to close the door and get it started. The kitchen cupboards are kind of a disaster. Way too many items are jammed into every drawer and cabinet with no organization at all. Some of the cookware is clean, some is not. All the floors that are visible were clean, but looking for an outlet behind a bed we discovered dead bugs. One bed had to be remade when we arrived because an old contact lens and an earplug were found in a fold of the sheet. The life preservers provided are in limited sizes. Check with the owner before you go if you might use them. All the game tables, balls, and toys are crowded into the dusty, disorganized garage, which hasn't been swept out in a very long time. Volleyball and pickleball courts are unplayable for lack of maintenance. In the separate upstairs apartment water-pressure is very low.

Great place for a large family

This place is great for a large, multi-generational family weekend. Tons of space. Lots of bathrooms! Outdoor fun with the lake, pier, volleyball court, basketball/pickleball court, firepit & hot tub. Games in the garage too-pool, pingpong, etc. Nice accomodations & great location.

Awesome reunion lakeside compound

Clean, fully equipped with sporting/recreational stuff, loads of bedrooms and bathrooms. The only real negative is that almost all the bathrooms are attached to bedrooms. Pickle ball, basketball, cornhole, volleyball, pool table, kayaks, all great. Perfect for a large group.

Awesome wedding weekend!

Family & Friends from near and far gathered here to celebrate my son’s wedding. This property is amazing! So many fun amenities that filled out the weekend. Everything was perfect and Brian is an incredibly accommodating host!

The host Brian was excellent. Very responsive and addressed our issues. Sent new garbage cans when the ones were full when we arrived and new Keurigs for each house when they were unworkable. We never did get the Mr Coffee to work but hated to bring it up.That being said, there were some problems. The sand volleyball court is a misnomer - it was gravel and full of weeds. The dishwasher while workable, is not installed correctly. The door to it can fall down on feet when loading. The back door to the house would not stay closed unless the inside latch was adjusted properly before going out which was difficult for the children til we figured it out. The upper loft over garage had undesirable pet smells. The hot tub seemed to run out of chlorine and became unusable by the 5th day. No supplies for it. The kitchen is very well stocked - even an air fryer. The house is nicely decorated, The bedrooms were as described. The downstairs has 1 bath with no shower if mobility is an issue. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the lake is beautiful. The boat launch on the property is super handy and the pier was nice as were the kayaks. There are plenty of lawn chairs and a large outdoor table.
