Great location if you want to be away from the touristy part of Acadia. Nice out of the way place that has everything you need to accommodate your stay. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area!

There are so many positive reviews of this property and all are accurate!! It is ideal as it is away from Acadia traffic on the Schoodic peninsula—minutes from the Schoodic portion of Acadia, and there are so many things to do in the area—without the crowds. Only a 1 hour drive to Acadia proper, and there is a local ferry that is convenient to visit Bar Harbor. This property is gorgeous—the interior is all on one level and the decor/amenities are on par with nicer homes I have rented. While it is listed as a cabin, the interior is more home-like. And the hosts do offer all the things one might want. I spilled something on myself and was pleased to find Shout in the laundry closet-along with soap pods and Bounce. The hosts were wonderful when we had questions about the area (our first visit to Maine) with prompt, accurate information. Overall if I could give this properly more than 5 stars I would. Rent this place!!

Clean, quiet cabin near along the wooded shores

The cabin was: - On a beautiful wooded lot down a peaceful road along the shore - Clean - Well-equipped - Comfortable (cool to cozy temps, depending on what you like, and the beds allowed us to sleep well). Highly recommend this cabin to anyone vacationing in the area.

Cozy Maine Cabin

Absolutely wonderful stay. We left with no complaints. The cabin is so cozy and stocked with everything we could have needed. We loved the fireplace !! It is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor but we actually enjoyed exploring the surrounding small towns that we wouldn't have done if staying on Mount Desert Island.

The best thing about this vacation home was the atmosphere of its location: tucked right into the forest and close to the ocean, you instantly felt like you were truly on vacation the moment you stepped outside. You could sit on the comfortable outdoor furniture, fire up the gas grill, and just soak in the surroundings. That alone was absolutely wonderful. Inside, everything had been thought of as well: it was spotless, so you felt at home right away. Even the little details had been carefully taken care of by the hosts.

Highly recommend

My two adult daughters and I were extremely impressed with the cabin. It was clean, cute and well stocked. We especially liked the well organized binder that explained everything and even gave pointers on outings. It looks rustic in the pictures but must be newly remodeled because it all looked fresh and new.

Time well spent

Spent a couple days catching up with my brother. The property was in great condition and the hosts thought of everything down to a goody basket on arrival. We liked the Lobster pot and cooking ring just outside the cabin. The hikes and restaurants in the area made it Time well spent. Thank You.

Secluded, very clean and well stocked

We had a great stay at Stonebrook. Everything about the property was as listed. We enjoyed all the "home" away from home items, such as a well stocked kitchen, including dishes, pots & pans and even an assortment of spices for cooking. We enjoyed drinks on the patio while sitting around the fire pit. The record player was a great addition. In other VRBO properties we always had to buy extra hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent, etc. and it was great that all of these items were stocked for us. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Stonebrook!
