The Neighborhood:
Pike Creek, Delaware: Suburban Charm Meets Natural Beauty
Nestled in the rolling hills of northern New Castle County, just west of Wilmington, Pike Creek is a highly sought-after suburban community known for its peaceful atmosphere, lush greenery, and high quality of life. Often described as having a "suburban rural mix feel," it offers residents well-established neighborhoods with a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments, many surrounded by mature trees and woodlands. It's frequently ranked as one of the best places to live in Delaware, noted for safety, highly-rated public schools (primarily Red Clay Consolidated and Christina School Districts), and a family-friendly environment.
A major draw to Pike Creek is its exceptional access to nature. The community borders the expansive White Clay Creek State Park, part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. This park provides residents and visitors with over 3,600 acres of protected land, featuring miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, along with excellent fishing opportunities (the creek is heavily stocked, especially with trout). Nearby Carousel Park & Equestrian Center and Middle Run Natural Area offer additional green space and recreational activities. Many local trails connect neighborhoods directly to park entrances and even towards Newark.

Luke is a phenomenal host, the home was clean and had great amenities. Close to restaurants, shopping, grocery, and mall. Had a blast, thank you Luke! We will be back again.
Couple of dads and boys stayed here for a nearby lacrosse event. Had everything we needed and more. House looks and feel brand new. Very spacious and well appointed. Will seek it out again when we return to Delaware next year. Thanks Luke!
Wow, is all I can say. This is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. We had a company team of 6 individuals stay and was great. Everyone had their own bedroom, bathroom and we had common areas where we could collaborate. The house is huge, beautifully decorated (same color scheme that I redid my home in :-) ). Most of all it is clean! Towels and linens plenty and nice. Beds are comfortable. The pillows are the beds are quite hard, but they keep pillows labeled as soft in each closet so we all ended up using them. LOL. Luke was fantastic in communications. Just a wonderful experience and definitely will stay there again when we have a large corporate team in DE.

The host communicated using various phones but doesn't respond to questions. When I asked a question if I could have family over after a memorial service, he could have just said no, instead he sent a new set of "rules" that said the police would be called if we had > 10 people and that we could not cook curry. He also didn't disclose that he had facial recognition cameras all over the house, I realized this when neighbors of his (who know us) stopped over while walking their dogs. He sent us pictures of the dogs within minutes of them arriving, and changed the rules from no pets to "no pets anywhere on the property" How can I stop neighbors from stopping by? We were totally creeped out, seems like they were just sitting at home watching the cameras. Also pillows were horrible and hard and we had to buy dishwashing soap.
