Wild Jasmine: A Private Oasis on St. John's East End with Pool, A/C, and Ultimate Privacy

Wild Jasmine is made up of two charming 2 bedroom 2 bath villas with a shared pool. With its breathtaking views and tropical atmosphere, you will enjoy the laid-back feel of what island living is all about. The Main House great room, kitchen, living and dining areas are located in the center of the villa, while the bedrooms are on opposite sides, offering privacy for couples, but with the inside access bedrooms, it works perfectly for families with children. The guest house great room, kitchen, living and dining areas are located on the upper level, with both bedrooms on the lower level, each accessible from the outside. The spacious decks includes comfortable outdoor furnishings with gorgeous views, and gas grill. No matter where you choose to relax, you will be in awe as you gaze out to the 180 degree west facing views of the Caribbean.

The pool is located on the lower level between both villas and is surrounded by tropical landscaping and colorful flowers. You will enjoy being able to go for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring, or if you prefer a quiet day at home, spend it by the pool and work on your golden tan. The choice is yours.

Wild Jasmine is located on the East End of St John in the Hansen Bay area. The home is about a 45- 50 minute drive on paved roads from Cruz Bay and about a 12 minute drive from the center of Coral Bay. Coral Bay is the sleepier side of St John, but don’t let this fool you. This area still has plenty to offer. There are several small grocery stores (Dolphin, Calabash and Love City Mini Mart) and some fun restaurants on this side of the island. From a burger at Skinny Legs, to local Caribbean dishes at Miss Lucy’s, pizza from Salty Mongoose Pizza and Rum Bar or a Pacific Rim inspired menu with Caribbean touches at Rhumb Lines (their Cuban mojo pork is to die for!), there is something for everyone to enjoy.

For beaches, there are several within a 5 minute drive of Wild Jasmine. Go swimming and snorkeling at Hansen Bay (rent kayaks – snorkel Pelican Rock), Haulover, Saltwell Bottom (locally owned – pay to park – rent glass bottom kayaks, lounge chairs, beach umbrellas) and if you like to hike (about 30 min), there is Brown Bay Beach. You are sure to enjoy exploring these more hidden gems.

Most of all enjoy your time at Wild Jasmine. The villa is tucked in to the hillside, and enjoys west facing views. During the day, you will enjoy the magnificent and ever changing turquoise colors of the Caribbean waters and in the evenings, sit back and watch the nightly kaleidoscope of colors, including oranges, pinks, purples, yellows and blues, dancing off the water and surrounding hillsides. It is a sunset to behold.

(Though the roads are all paved to the villa, we recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle as this will allow you to explore St John to its fullest and a sedan does not do well with the ever present pot holes and sharp turns on the island.)

Distance To Town: Located on the East End of the island, 45-50 minute drive to Cruz Bay. 10 -12 minute drive into Coral Bay

Living & Dining: Your living areas are located on the main level of each home and include new furnishings with plenty of room to lounge after a day of exploring. The home includes your internet and a smart flat-screen TV for streaming and 180 degree views and offer an unobstructed vantage point of the turquoise blue seas, where you will enjoy watching sailboats glide by.

There is an interior dining table or if you prefer enjoying a meal out on your deck, there is exterior dining table.

Kitchen: The kitchens are open to the living room, so while you prepare a delicious lunch or dinner, you will enjoy time spent together, laughing and catching up. The kitchen includes a gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and the very important blender for creating your tropical frozen beverages.

A gas BBQ grill and washer/dryer are included.

Bedroom Details: Main House: The two air-conditioned bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the great room. The bedroom on the right has two twin beds which can be converted to a king. The bedroom on the left has a king bed. Both bedrooms have similar bathrooms with single vanities and white tiled showers. Each bedroom has a screened sliding glass door which opens to the deck and the breathtaking views.
Guest House. The two air conditioned bedrooms are located on the lower level of the living area and require walking outside to access them. Each with 2 twin beds that make into 1 king. Bedrooms are newly furnished.
