Family vacation… jet ski riding at Lake Jocasse and Lake Keowee. Cabin is amazing. Just what we needed. Quiet and cozy!! Enjoyed our mornings and nights sitting on the porch listening to the flow of the river.
House was great loved the stream by the porch. Loved the quiet neighborhood. The only problem we had was there was no house number and we had a hard time identifying which house it was.
We enjoyed our little family stay at the cabin! Relaxing sounds from the creek in a remote valley near Table Rock and Jocassee. Only suggestion would be to install a w/d for those who stay longer than a weekend. Closest laundry mat is 30 min away -otherwise wonderful!!!
This place was just what we needed for a quick weekend get away. We truly loved the quiet & the simplicity of it! The porch & flowing creek was esp soothing for our mind & hearts! The owner was super responsive & easy to work with. Definitely coming back!
Amazing cabin with Beautiful scenery! Mill Place Cabin was PERFECT for our little family of 3! We spent our mornings enjoying the porch and the stream…we took advantage of the grill by the steam and had home cooked meals every day….and nightly fires in the fire pit. No internet/WiFi was a blessing!!! We were also able to capture some beautiful senior photos of our daughter around the property and by the stream…. A week of Quality Family Time!!!!
My husband and I and granddaughter truly our stay in this quaint cabin. Although it looked tiny from the outside, it was very spacious inside and had all that we needed for this getaway.
The pics online couldn’t capture the true beauty of the surrounding setting!!!
It was just what we needed… a break from the constant access to the fast pace of this world.
We definitely will be back.
Thank you for allowing us to share and enjoy your lovely cabin.❤️
The perfect place to get away from it all and unplug. No internet or WiFi? No problem. Just the constant sound of the bubbling stream and the cool shade to make for a perfect setting and base camp as we explored the hikes and waterfalls nearby.
Perfect spot to slow down for a bit and front porch sit
This cabin was wonderful. The creek was perfect ambiance to still the mind and create restfulness. The rockers on the front porch were comfortable. Weather during our week was perfect for sitting outside all day. They do have a porch ceiling fan for the hotter days. Cabin was open and airy, the 2nd bedroom with bunk beds was small but would be fine and dandy for sleeping in. Bathroom was spacious, perfect for getting ready in but shower is small. Water pressure in shower pretty good. Mattress in main room was of softer quality but good. Cabin itself was very clean. I even had to climb under the bed for something I dropped and was surprised at the little amount of dust underneath. Kitchen has basic essentials. I appreciated the plastic wrap and foil which isn't always available at vacation rentals lately. They also had some tea and k-cup coffee, popcorn, and some fruit snacks for us, which was appreciated. Lots of movies availabile to watch, chess was found too. We did buy some cards at the gas station down the street for some more entertainment. Heater on the house was amazing too. We came in and it was on the chilly side. Turned on the heater and within 10 minutes it was warm and I was readjusting the temp. Only negative is that there aren't screens on most of the windows, so can't open them without letting bugs in. However, bathroom window had screen and with that open plus bedroom door open we were able to enjoy falling asleep to the sound of the creek.
We were aware that wifi was not included, but did not anticipate having zero bars on our phones either. It was nice to unplug, and in a very beautiful area. Truthfully, we would not stay here more than two days because of the lack of wifi. If it were an add-on option for a certain cost a day, we would definitely return & stay even longer. The cabin was beautiful, the location was fantastic, only 15 minutes from Lee Falls.
My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights while hiking and exploring waterfalls. It’s a dream come true for anyone hoping to escape reality. The cabin is secluded in a valley, on the side of a creek. You can literally sit inside and hear the water run! No Wi-Fi, just nature and your family. As far as outside, there’s a fire pit, a grill and steps down to the creek. A large porch with rocking chairs and a swing where you can sit and admire the creek or open valley. Inside was immaculate and the kitchen fully stocked with utensils and cookware. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. We are avid waterfall chasers and have stayed in many similar places but this is definitely a favorite.
What a beautiful place to stay on the creek! The water was nice, very cold, yet very relaxing, and the cabin was absolutely adorable (our favorite place was the porch). We went to Devil's Fork, Issaqueena Falls, went swimming in Lake Keeowee, then came home to relax with ease at this peaceful property.
This was a great property for a peaceful weekend getaway. We enjoyed being disconnected from the outside world for a short while. The cabin was cozy and the creek was so relaxing. The picnic table and grill are perfectly positioned to have a full view of nature. The best feature of the property is the large porch with the rockers and swing to enjoy the sounds of the rushing water just steps away. Simply beautiful location. We look forward to a return trip in the future.
