About this property

Very Clean and relaxing place to stay.

Completely private for the entire top floor. Which is about 2400 sqft of space. Entry way it's an spacious 2 car garage or the front of the house up the stairs through the front porch. You'll have Free access park pass with reservation.

This property has a basement which is not accessible. It is a separate rental.

Close to lots of activities including Jocassee Lake, Devils Fork State park, Wildcat Falls, Table Rock state park, and trails for days. If you love the outdoors or a simply relaxing and quiet place to stay this is the place for you.

Includes free access to the lake for boating, swimming, diving, kayaking, paddling, jet skying, etc..

The house is not on the lake and it doesn't have a dock .

There is absolutely NO smoking in or outside the house and NO pets in the premises.

Please follow the below rules:

1. Place all trash in trash bags and in trash cans and secure lid due to bear activity.

2. Start dishwasher with any dirty dishes.

3. Place used bathroom towels and washcloths in a pile in respective bathrooms, or in the laundry basket in the laundry room. 🧺

4. Move back any furniture that has been moved to its original placement.

5. Set thermostat to 65 degrees in Winter time and 75 degrees in Summertime.

6. Upon exiting home, lock all windows and doors including the front door. Please double check and make sure everything is secured.

7. Make sure you have all your belongings. We are not responsible for any lost and found items. We will try our best to return any item belonging to you that you leave behind but you will have to cover the cost of shipping. We will do our very best to help you but we make no guarantees.

8.Absolutely no pets, if pet hair, urine or poop are found. A pet cleaning fee and penalties will be issued. Pets leave odors that are not easy to remove. This house is mostly carpet. Please do not bring your pets.

9. Please treat this home like your own. We sincerely appreciate it.

10. No access to basement/downstairs.

11. If grill was used please clean it otherwise there will be a $25 extra cleaning fee.

12. If anything brakes or malfunctions please let us know before we find out. We check everything to provide you with everything in perfect condition.

If the home requires excessive cleaning, you may be charged an additional professional cleaning fee.

We recommend you to buy trip insurance for unknown situations. We cannot predict the weather in the mountains. Trip insurance should cover you for events out of our control as well as reasons you may have for cancelling.

Disappointing!

We selected this rental based on proximity to the lake and price. Our experience mirrors others, we got unexpected fees after we left the property, so we ended up paying more for our stay. Four days after our departure we’ve been charged with $259 for a damaged faucet - which we never broke. Communication was shut down after the first attempt to present our side of the story. VRBO is useless, and the host knows and counts on that. We usually read more carefully the reviews, but we rushed this time and thought we’d give it a chance. A disappointing experience!

Great house!

5 stars all around. 2nd year staying there. Close to the lake. Beautiful house. Great weekend there with friends and family. Will return again.

Unreasonable Host and Moldy house

Well we wanted this to be a great rental but turns outs the only good thing is location and price. Yea it's close to the state park at a good rate. The downfall is the following: When we arrived, the house was very musty and had mold on the walls of the bathroom. I let it go as we were only there for a couple days and it was an older house. Now after checking out was a different story the owner is very unreasonable and not accommodating at all. She accused me of leaving the house a "Huge Mess" bc the place mats from the dining table where not put back and the silver ware was not in the correct location..... Which is was.... also there was a note on the grill saying there would be a $35 charge if the grill was not cleaned after use. So, I went above and beyond to clean the grill and drip pan after only cooking burgers and dogs once on it. Apparently if you use the grill at all then be prepared to pay that $35 bc I cleaned it better than I found it. She was also upset that we left one cardboard box and a plastic jug in the trash can and it was not in a bag. She is now trying to charge me $500 for this which is crazy! I have never had a issue renting on VRBO till now but this Host has now made me very cautious and I will pay way more attention to who I rent from. My suggestion find a better place to stay with a much better host. Good luck and Don't stay here!

Great weekend getaway

We have been coming up to the lake for Labor Day weekend the past few years and it is always a must to stay at the house. We couldn't ask for a better set up for a weekend getaway. It is close to the park and easy access for our boat. The house is always clean and ready to go for us. We always feel right at home and are thankful for them allowing us to stay!

My family and I are water people. Jocassee water is unique, swimming here is amazingly pleasant. My husband and I take the jet skies in search for the lake water falls for swimming and observing the fish. Lake is so big, fresh and so fun.
