Beautiful home in prime location

The Owl House was perfect for our girls weekend trip. It was beautifully decorated with all the amenities we needed plus some. It was very comfortable and just steps from downtown for all of the restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

This little house was perfect for us. It was nice to be able to leave the hustle and bustle of the main shopping street yet close enough to walk to everything. We had street parking right in front of our house. We walked to everything so our car did not move until we got in it to come home. It was a wonderful weekend get away for us.

Fantastic Property!

We had a wonderful stay in this home. Check-in was easy (and offered earlier than expected) and parking was readily available on the street. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint, with super friendly neighbors, and walkable to everything. The house was as expected, with all the comforts of home, including coffee, water, and tea! The bed was comfortable. The best part was the amazingly cold temperature downstairs in the crazy hot weekend we had (105 degrees). I would recommend this property 100%!!

Perfect location

We had a great time at the Owl House. It was clean, and perfect for the two of us. We loved sitting on the sun porch/dining area. We loved the snacks and drinks that were provided, and the souvenir owl. We played a few records, sat in the screened in porch, and just hung out. No complaints. Parked on Friday and walked everywhere in Galena. Hope to be back soon.

Everything about our stay at the Owl House was perfect.. Location was easily walkable to Main Street where there are shops and restaurants. House has historic bones but modern amenities and a cozy feel. Stocked with all we needed for our stay: coffee, snacks, water and other drinks. We really enjoyed the library where we listened to some great music on the record player…brought back some special memories. Appreciated the attention to detail and would definitely recommend this home. Already thinking of returning for a girl trip 😊

Fall stay in Galena

We enjoyed our stay at the Owl House and would definitely go back next time in Galena. Hosts were very accommodating and wanted to make sure we had a good time. They were very responsive when we asked questions. The house is located 1 block above Main Street where all the restaurants and shops are located. Very convenient. Hosts had dining recommendations which were all good plus gave us advice on local bicycle trails as we hauled the bikes with us. As it turned out staying during the weekdays was a bonus as the crowds were down. Hosts included coffee for us to brew, water in the fridge and a few snacks to munch on. 5 star.

The Owl House is exceptional and we had a fabulous time. We enjoyed listening to albums on the turntable downstairs (Sonos soundbar upstairs was really nice too) and playing games next to the electric fireplace on a chilly night. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and we loved waking to the bird's quiet, happy chirping in the trees outside. Communication with the host was excellent and the house was nicely stocked and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for checking out the shops and restaurants and we were able to park right in front of the house. We stayed here for a girlfriend's weekend and none of us wanted to leave. Definitely the best VRBO experience we have had. Thanks for making our girlfriends weekend memorable, relaxing and so much fun!
