Enjoy a stay in Beaufort's prestigious historic Old Point neighborhood in a charming antebellum home. This guest suite is being hosted by the sons of two artists who founded an art gallery at this location in 1992. All of the artwork in the suite, and surrounding half-acre sculpture garden, has been created by one or both of them.
The suite is steps away from downtown Beaufort and the Henry Chambers Waterfront Park, which is surrounded by some of the most beautiful views in the region.
THE SPACE The first room you enter is the sunroom, which is bright and inviting. Relax on the two exceptionally comfortable antique rocking chairs that look out to the gardens through expansive casement windows.
While inside the bedroom, enjoy a restful nights sleep on the most comfortable bed. Our mattress and pillows are covered with hypoallergenic covers to help ensure the best night's sleep.
Settle in for a movie on the 42” smart tv. Please note we do not have cable TV or local TV channels, but do offer Netflix, Prime, and Disney+.
We also think you will love our beautiful shower experience, complete with Carrera stone detailing, stained glass and antique pottery displays. All of our bath hair and skin care products are Aveda, selected for quality and environmental stewardship. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit for your use. Please note that the bathroom area is open concept. See the floor plan in the photo section for more detail.
We have shared a few of our favorite family antique kitchenwares in the kitchenette. It is stocked with essential needs for making coffee, reheating leftovers or setting a prepared meal to enjoy al fresco on the outdoor table and chairs.
No other listing in Beaufort's Old Point can boast a half acre property for your enjoyment! In the gardens, you will find over 30 sculptures, a table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a fire pit and charcoal grill for your use.
Though the yard is not fenced in, we do allow a single dog for a $45/night. We ask that you do not allow your pet on the furniture or bed and that you properly clean up after your pet.
The suite is professionally cleaned using environmentally sensitive cleaning products, following COVID-19 protocols, and the industry approved five step cleaning process.
GUEST ACCESS The guest suite entry is located on the garden side of the home and is elevated seven steps, sitting above the private basement area.
There is free off-street parking for 1 vehicles in the driveway. Please park in front of the alligator sculpture! An extra vehicle can be accommodated with advanced request.

This amazing suite was a short walk to everything we wanted to do! Easy to get to all the great shopping, food, spas, and more! Azaleas and dogwoods on the property were in bloom and everything was just beautiful. We were even greeted by a majestic owl one night :)

Kathy, I’m sorry you did not enjoy your stay. In four years of hosting, I’ve never received a rating anywhere near this low, and especially with such little comment. The home was painted three years ago and power washed this year. However, it is a historic property in keeping with the homes in the neighborhood and does not look shiny and pristine. Perhaps you’re not accustomed to historic properties. I would also acknowledge that the garden in the winter does not quite have the same beauty as it does during other seasons. I think this is no different than other properties in the area. Best wishes.
Wonderful location in downtown Beaufort! Private, intimate getaway for my husband and I. This quaint property was eclectic in style. Very cozy! Appreciate the many thoughtful touches for the guests to enjoy. We enjoyed riding our bikes in the historic district. We ate in tasty local restaurants and had many shopping options. Cannot wait to visit again!!! The host was very accommodating!! Many thanks.
I’m a Beaufort native and rented this property for a quick getaway. It’s an amazing location that is walkable to all of the attractions downtown. We had a very comfortable stay, and loved the artwork of a longtime local artist on the property and throughout the dwelling. I really appreciated how easy check-in/out was too! Would absolutely stay here again my next time in town.
The property was lovely! We especially enjoyed the washer and dryer. There were nice snacks and good coffee. It felt generous. It was so quiet that we felt like we were the only ones in the property. We also enjoyed meeting the hosts. Overall, it was an excellent stay!

Blaque, your review felt like the most heart felt review we have received to date. Thank you! Congratulations on your involvement with the Beaufort Film Festival. I hope we can host you next year.
The Old Point Artist Suite was lovely. Before booking, we had some concern about A/C in the August heat, but the temperature was quite comfortable. Shower pressure was great. Having on-site parking was a bonus and the location is fantastic - very close to the historic downtown, shops, restaurants and waterfront (all walking distance). Would stay here again. When we had questions, the host promptly replied.
We had a nice visit. The property entrance is a bit difficult to locate, but nice to have on-site parking. The steps to the entrance are older and uneven, so hang onto the handrail. The wood plank flooring and art decor are fun, but the bathroom is "open concept", as there is no door. The amenities list states there is a hot tub, but we never found one. It also states there is a first aid kit, and we found a small plastic box with 1 bandaid and 1 antiseptic wipe in a sidetable drawer. As a nurse I'm not sure that constitutes giving your property credit for first aid. The towels and sheets were nice quality, and the queen size bed was comfortable. The toilet paper is see through single ply and could use an upgrade. The cold water in the sink ran brown water, but the hot side was clear. The lighting over the bathroom sink is very dim, and 3 bulbs were out in the chandelier, making makeup application challenging. Understanding this is an older historic home we gave grace to some of the issues, but updates to some amenities would be appreciated.

Cindy, it was a pleasure hosting you and we are glad you had a nice stay. I am sorry that you did not have the 5-star experience we strive to create. Having said that, we appreciate the feed back and have made a few changes for future guests. 1. Rewired the dim light fixture 2. Replaced the missing first aid kit 3. Changed the TP brand 4. Added a floor plan to the listing to better communicate the open floor plan. Thanks again. I hope you will give us another shot!!
This property is being hosted by the sons of the artists Eric Longo and Suzanne Longo (D) who founded the Longo Gallery at this location in 1992. All of the artwork in the suite and in the surrounding sculpture garden has been created by one or both of them. This suite is a dedication to their lives and efforts and a realization of our continual endeavors to share the love they exude through their art. We hope you enjoy a special guest book highlighting their accomplishments, which started well before 1992 in New Orleans, LA.
