My family and I enjoyed our stay at Tropical Paradise. I was welcomed and kept in the loop from the time of booking until checking out. Great location for where I was going. Beautiful home!
Water was off upon arrival . Handyman showed had no knowledge off water turn on process. The water was turned on and blew main line, had no water in morning, 8 people had no way of taking shower. Wasted 8 hours of waiting on repair to be completed then told could not be completed, had to go stay in local hotel, that hotel stay was a adventure !
The management company needs to remove listing and spend some time cleaning, repairing, and maintaining the home. Kitchen and bathroom equipment (pots/pans/hairdryer) reminds me of leftovers you would use in a second home, not an income generating rental property. The exterior does not look tidy like it is in the pictures. Dead vegetation in yard beds, most likely from the black grasshopper infestation. Roof valley and gutters at front door are overflowing with debris. Hot tub was disgusting with chunks of brown material and sludge on surface. I contacted the mgmt company, was told it was cleaned but the water was never clear during our stay so I was too afraid to use it. Shower did not work in one of the downstairs bathrooms. Pieces of popcorn ceiling in the other downstairs bathroom fell on me while taking a shower. Some towels were musty, some looked like you would use them to wash your car. There was a hole in the wall in the dining room and areas of baseboard were missing throughout house.Three of the five exterior trash cans were full, but in their defense could not tell what day trash is collected. To end on a positive note, the layout of the home was roomy, and the a/c in the home was the best part of the stay once we figured how to lower the thermostat. Show the home some attention and it will be a gem.
Amazing property. The entrace to the property reminded me of Disneys Polynesian Resort. Tropical landscaping was top notch. Interior was decorated beautifully. I would come back.
House is clean & tidy.
Beds were comfortable & linens were plentiful.
Hard to beat the Fruit Cove neighborhood - everything is handy.
Showers were also good - nice warm water & good flow.
Excellent place for family & friends gathering.
Property was clean and well stocked for our stay. The owners rapid response to our questions concerning use of the hot tub made it possible for us to enjoy the warm waters in the chilly morning hours. Everyone had a great stay and we all thought the property was a good value.
4 generous bedrooms with comfortable beds, nice showers. Quiet neighborhood and close to grocery, restaurants etc.. Friendly, responsive host. We will use this home again!
My family and I visited Jacksonville for my nieces communion and had a great stay at this house. It was conveniently located near many restaurants and stores which made it easy to stock up on supplies! The house was very spacious and slept 8 guests very comfortably. It was clean
This home was everything the site claimed. Plenty of room. We had 8 adults and it was comfortable. Was easy to get in and communication was excellent even when I needed some assistance late at night getting into the property. It was my fault but response time was immediate.
The home was clean and quiet. It was a very convenient, short drive to LaVenture Grove, where my daughter got married. We had plenty of room for our family of 8 and a nice large kitchen to prepare some food together.
Two families from GA in Jax for a funeral. A place to sleep and dress/change, only one dinner and two breakfasts use of the kitchen/dining. Paradise was clean, well equipped, and beds were comfy. A/C struggled a bit with outside temp at 95 but bedrooms were cool. Overall a good choice for families to mingle vs. motel options.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house full of character. It was very comfortable & convenient to so many things. Our son & three grandsons live in Fleming Island so it wasn’t a long drive at all. The only thing missing was mixing bowls but other than that, it was great!
Our stay was great. The house was comfortable with plenty of room for our group. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The backyard was nice with a porch swing and basketball hoop to play around with. We didn’t use the hot tub but I’m sure it would have been good also. Communication with the host was easy and they were super helpful when we left a watch behind.
We stayed here to visit my elderly mother-in-law who lives nearby. This home is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Close to grocery, coffee shops and restaurants. Plenty of room for our family of 5. The beds are comfortable and the house is clean. The upstairs loft is great with a bed and newer bathroom. There is a basketball court and ball in the back yard which my 2 year old grandson enjoyed. As mentioned by others there is no yard in back for kids to play but this did not bother us. We did not use the hot tub. The windows are a bit dirty. There were bugs on the front porch (grasshoppers maybe) but not in the house. I noticed a few very small flying black bugs in the master bathroom our first night but no where else in the house and didn't notice them the rest of our stay. It is Florida! The code to get in was delivered to us through the app as stated and the host checked in via messaging as well to make sure our stay was going well. Overall nice stay.

Pros* Close to assisted living facility of a family member* Allows dogs* Good amount of space* Comfortable beds* Large dining table * The house had not been cleaned from prior guests when we arrived. Management sent a cleaning crew. Cons* The uncleaned house delayed our entry for 3 hours, this after a long day of travel, & our plans were disrupted. (Ironically, we'd received an automated message inviting us to arrive earlier for an additional fee). * The kitchen was inadequately supplied, & we needed to request some basic items in order to cook a meal (pot mitts, measuring cups & spoons; & we were glad we brought a wine bottle opener). * On Christmas, while using water only in the kitchen, we lost water throughout the house. We felt bad someone had to come out on Christmas, but the house was uninhabitable. It took a few hours for the maintenance man to arrive. He was pleasant & restored the water.* There were other problems. One example: the upstairs bedroom closet has no shelving & no place to hang clothes. An offer of some compensation would have been appropriate, but no such offer was made. And while Anna initially apologized when learning the house was uncleaned, no further apologies were offered & no further concern was expressed. We understand none of these issues were intentional, but we experienced multiple disruptions that made for an unpleasant stay. The house is suffering from neglect & could benefit from care & attention for future guests.
There was hardly any toilet paper in the house which was problematic with a large group. There was no tissues in any of the bathrooms either. We booked the house for a wedding that was taking place at St. John’s Golf and Country Club. Getting ready was difficult at this house. Loft bedroom had nowhere to hang formal wear and the vanity had zero counter space. More seating in the living room would have been nice - ditch the beanbag. Grown ups don’t want to sit on it. Since we were a large group we had 4 to 5 cars in the driveway. Wish the creepy giant heads weren’t in the driveway wasting space. We liked the location and it was clean and beds were comfortable enough. We didn’t cook at all so can’t comment on the kitchen. The weather was bad so we couldn’t enjoy the back porch but looked like a nice place to hang out.
Rented this home for a weekend wedding. The house was very clean, and beds were comfortable. The space was very well used and we had plenty of room for our family to spread out. The only reason this wasn’t a 5 star for me is because of the intensely strong smell of sulfur that came from the water sources. The water in the shower smelled so strongly of sulfur and was so hard on our hair. That was the only thing I would change about this house. Everything else was very nice and well maintained.
