Welcome to The Colony at Virginia Beach Oceanfront by TripForth
New to TripForth! Available May 2023.
The Colony is a premium high-rise condominium overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. All units are ocean-front views and offer a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean on a large private balcony.
Each unit has two bedrooms, two full baths and they are fully furnished for six people. This includes towels, linens, dishes, pots and pans, all the comforts of home.
The living room and both bedrooms have a flat screen TV (3) with cable. The dining room is furnished with a lovely contemporary table that seats six and the kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. The master bedroom has a king bed and the guest bedroom has two queen beds. We offer a sundeck with a community grill and a pool ocean side for use during your stay.
Each unit will be supplied with 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, trash can liners, linens and terry. Please plan accordingly for any additional items needed for your unit. *Note - Nautical theme decor may differ between units. Unit assignments will be given at check-in. Parking is limited to one assigned space per unit. Guest parking is on a first come first serve basis all other parking must be in the overnight paid parking on block across the street.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to maintain a flexible cancellation policy, guests may cancel up to 30 days prior to arrival to receive any type of refund. However, administrative fees and insurances are non-refundable once a reservation is made. Cancel For Any Reason and Standard Travel Insurance options are available for purchase through TripForth. Contact us to learn more about protecting your reservation.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: A refundable security deposit of $300 is required by The Colony Resort at check-in.

Fun vacay

The condo was great. Perfect location, clean, and right on the beach. Fully stocked kitchen and view of the beach from every room. Board walk right in front of us and every kind of restaurant you could want within walking distance. Also took advantage of Adventure Works zip lining. Highly recommend this condo

Relaxing Getaway

The property was clean and convenient to restaurants and shops. Aquarium was a short drive away. The unit was clean, remodeled with quality furniture. The beds were very comfortable. The balcony overlooked the beach and ocean, it was perfect for morning coffee, watching the sunrise, sunset and people watching.

Colonial stay

I loved the condo. The rooms were clean, kitchen was great, living room and dining room was spacious. I didn't like when i had to stripping the linen of the beds and towels to leave them outside the door. If house keeping will make bed for the next guest why i had to do it that's extra work for guests and deposit is too much.

Beautiful

The unit it absolutely gorg. Beds are comfy. The counters werent clean in either the kitchen or bathrooms and our master bath was stuck full of hair. The maintenace man was fantastic! If you cook a lot the property didnt have cutting boards or sharp knives, so bring them. The pool was well maintained. The grills were a great amenity but werent very clean.

Short beach vacation after Labor Day

When we arrived, one of the property managers (Cam) was available to help us check in. She was very warm and helpful. The condo that we were assigned was a two bedroom/two bathroom unit. When we entered the condo, we were immediately aware of cigarette smoke odor and it permeated the entire unit. Other than the smoke smell, it was a clean, organized unit. There were linens, towels (seemed to be less towels than indicated on the list), kitchen equipment and supplies. Everything was in working order except the lights in the dining room which were difficult to turn on. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the view of the ocean was spectacular. The Colony also has a pool and a small deck with grills. We enjoyed both the easy beach access and the use of the pool area. The area around The Colony has plenty of restaurants, shops and amusements. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Note: the only downside to our stay was having to do chores before leaving the premises (take out the garbage, strip the beds, clean the dishes, etc). I would have been willing to pay more to have that done for me. When I’m on vacation, I don’t want to do chores. Otherwise, thanks for the enjoyable stay. Debra

Unfortunate circumstances

I booked this through Vrbo. This was the first time that I booked through Vrbo and it will be my last. I was so looking forward to having a girls week with my daughter and granddaughter. Unfortunately I received word that my father had passed unexpectedly 6 days prior to our trip. My daughter reached out to Vrbo and also to the owner of this rental property. They basically said that I should have reviewed the cancellation policy. They were not willing to work with us at all. Vrbo said that it was up to the owner of the rental property. She the owner basically said that it was too bad and that we will be charged full price?! Not only was a mourning the loss of my father but now this? I have been on several cruises and they even make exceptions for a death in the family. This was unexpected and also very sad. Life takes a turn that you have no control over. Then you have the unfortunate experience to deal with a person they does not have a heart and does not care. She wasn’t even willing to see if she could rent it out to another family? She had almost a weeks notice and all of the other weeks were booked up?? I will never rent tough Vrbo or any private rental property. Clearly you do not know who your dealing with morally or ethically on the other end. Extremely sad and disappointed in this entire experience. I have no words for the owner of this rental property…Hopefully this won’t happen to another family.
