Modern Comfortable Oasis w/ EV Charger – Eureka

Nestled in the heart of Eureka and surrounded by redwoods, this fully updated duplex is near the Sequoia Park Zoo, Redwood Park, Arcata Theatre Lounge, and downtown shops and dining. Includes a Level 2 Tesla Wall Connector (240V) available to all EVs with a J1772 adapter. Charging is $25 flat per stay or $0.30/kWh. Please let us know if you plan to use it.

• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM.
• Checkout is no later than 10:00 AM.
• Early check-in and late checkout may be available upon request but are not guaranteed due to same-day bookings.

• Maximum occupancy is 6 registered guests.
• No unregistered overnight guests.
• Day visitors must be respectful of the property and neighbors.

• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
• No parties, events, large gatherings, or excessive noise.

This was the best place in every way I’ve stayed for a vacation. The house is clean, modern with good quality dishes, extra bedding and a cute patio. There were alot of little extras . The host was quick and kind. Highly recommend

House is immaculate and perfectly equipped. New appliances, great kitchen, laundry, tv services easy to get to….etc. perfect for our family of 3 and 4 would also be very comfortable. Glenn is a super host, incredibly helpful, generous with his time and responsive. We will definitely book again on our next family visit.

If you’re looking for a nice place to stay I highly recommend this little place. It’s very clean and updated with new everything. The back patio is very nice with the fireplace feature we enjoyed our time out there. The person you deal with is nice and very helpful all you have to do is ask. I left my phone charger and Glenn shipped it to me and I got it in a few days.

Nice property. We had a slight issue which the owner took care of immediately. The only reason we didn’t give it a five was the kitchen was very randomly supported with a hodge podge of tools and location of items. For cooking it was difficult.

Glenn was a wonderful host and I absolutely love staying here with my family. This house has been lovingly renovated, and it’s fully stocked with everything you would need in your home. High-end appliances, stocked kitchen, and cozy, comfortable home and sheets. Wonderful place to spend a few nights or more. This house takes extra special care of his guests and of the property. We felt well taken care of. Glenn was very attentive to our questions as well as as an issue we had during check-in, which was our own fault. It’s rare to have such a special experience. We had an absolutely outstanding stay! The home was spotless, updated, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing week. The Tempur-Pedic bed was a big hit with my parents and now they want to get one for their home too. The fully equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout truly made it feel like a home away from home.The host was responsive, friendly, and gave great instructions that made check-in a breeze. We especially appreciated the helpful notes placed throughout the home—they made everything so easy to find and use, and showed just how much care and attention went into making guests feel welcome.Everything was exactly as described—or better. Welcome to our VRBO listing! My name is Glenn Hamanaka. I am a proud Humboldt County native with an unwavering connection to this region that spans 46 years. Born and raised here, my roots extend deep into the heart of Humboldt, where I attended elementary school, high school, and even a bit of college.

In addition to my ties to the local educational institutions, my 35-year career in commercial painting has strengthened my relationship with this region. My company has helped shape the landscape of our community over the past three decades and allowed me to meet and collaborate with an array of wonderful people and businesses.

For the past seven years, I've expanded my community involvement by becoming a VRBO host, catering especially to professionals visiting our region. The joy of providing a comfortable and welcoming space for guests, a home away from home, has been deeply fulfilling.

My love for the local community extends to the realm of sports. I have been actively engaged with the baseball and softball community here, supporting youth sports all the way up to collegiate sports. This includes my donations to local institutions such as Humboldt State, St. Bernard's Academy, and Eureka High School.

On a more personal note, I am happily married and a proud father to three children. Two are going through college while our youngest navigates high school. When I'm not hosting, working, or spending quality time with my family, you might find me enjoying the incredible natural beauty of our region through ocean fishing—one of my cherished hobbies.
