The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Put all white sheets and towels in the black laundry bags supplied. The bags are in the downstairs closet. Leave bags by the pool table.
Wash and put away all beach towels. Rinse and put away all beach chairs back on the pool deck.
Make sure all the windows are closed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No loud noise outside of the house after 9:00PM
If you move furniture during your stay. Please place it back to the original location.
Wash and put away any beach towels used. Empty trash and dishwasher before check-out. Place used white linens in the bags before checkout for pickup.

Amazing all around

We had 18 people ranging in age 7-68 years old staying and you could not tell. The house was so big and was able to accommodate everyone. Less than 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min drive to amusement/ water park. The host was great communicating and answering questions. Oh I forgot to mention one elevator!!!!

Thunder & Lightning MC 2025 Memorial Day Weekend

The property was GORGEOUS with just enough room for our family! The main kitchen was a such a pleasure to work in! Because it had two stoves, two full refrigerators and two sink areas, this allowed several of us to prepare food and not be under each other’s feet. The ground floor was the “party floor”. Jackie let me know in advance that a pool table was to be delivered and set up on Saturday and boy did my family enjoy it!! The indoor pool was also a huge hit! We took several daily enjoyable walks to the inlet. Most of the bedrooms had their own bathroom although it was advertised as all bedrooms having their own bathroom. The grill looked a little iffy so we did go buy to use. All in all working with Jackie has been GREAT and staying at the property was extremely enjoyable!

Wonderful house!

Our family group of 13 really enjoyed this house. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so that we could spread out. We loved the large table in the dining area that was so nice for meals as well as playing games and doing crafts. We enjoyed the proximity to groceries and restaurants but also liked the virtually private beach shared only by a small community of homes. The indoor pool was great and of course the beach was a hit! We definitely plan to come again!

Family get together

The house was perfect for all of us to stay at. rooms were spacious & clean. plenty of fridges and stoves to use. close enough to VA beach boardwalk, NOT walkable, beach was close & clean, not many lifeguards, but nice and not busy busy like VA Beach. Bring own beach chairs, I personally didn't like those ones. but towels are there, must wash , but no big deal. this is in a very nice neighborhood, could ride bicycles. Grocery store was close only 3.4 miles away. I would rent here again for sure. has indoor pool, kids liked it. hot tub. NO outdoor pool. most kitchen utensils and appliances are there. there was an elevator, which was great for elders and bringing up luggage, groceries. bedrooms are mostly on 2nd floor, 2 on 3rd floor, 1 on bottom.

Family wedding gathering

The house was in a beautiful location! You could see the ocean at some points in the house which was fun. Very large and all the bathrooms were a huge plus. We had two elderly people with us so the elevator was great. The negatives were we had ants and on the 3rd floor. We could not even leave closed up food such as bread on the counter. You can imagine with a group of 20 people, it is hard not to need to use the counter to store food. Also, the sink disposal was backed up. We were only there 3 nights and did contact the emergency contact when we arrived but they never came to resolve the issues. Also, all bathrooms did not even have one roll of toiled paper on the holder. I understand that we would need to buy extra toiled paper but I did expect to have a roll to start with. Because we were there for my son's wedding and it was a family gathering, we totally enjoyed our time. The space is very large and allowed for all of us to sleep and gather comfortably. The long table allowed for us to enjoy a family game which was so fun. For the price we paid, I would have hoped we would not have had to contend with the ants, and the other things I mentioned. Thus, I am rating this a very average overall rating.

Too many problems

I doubt if there's enough room, but: Major items- Pool was advertised as heated. We were then told (after we arrived) that this was a mistake. However, pool was in fact supposed to be heated, and a heater wad attached and had a working pilot light, but was simply broken. Pool man confirmed that it could have been fixed with a minor outlay (less than a $50 part) but this had not been done. So, we were either given incorrect information deliberately, or the management did not even know that a pool heater was attached and semi-functioning. Hpt Tub - Heated, but little to no jet action - pool man said it was full of sand and would have to be drained to fix it. Elevator - worked, after a fashion, but was scary. Cage was patched with 4 different kinds of tape (Scotch, painters masking, standard duct and reflective duct) which certainly didn't inspire confidence. Appliaces - dismal. The only fully functioning fridge, the main one on the top floor, had to be reset by us and made no ice until the third day. The other fridge on that floor made no ice at all and would not even stay cold. The main dishwasher did a poor job of washing even light loads and would not dry dishes at all. One of the clothes dryers (which was functioning quite well) was replaced while we were there with a "new" one which did not function as well. Lighting - a full fourth of the lights in the house were blown. We replaced all in the common areas - still some out in the bedrooms. More issues, but out of room.

We had a wonderful stay at this property during our family reunion! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, spacious, and beautiful — perfect for hosting a large family gathering.The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook big meals together, and the living areas were cozy and inviting. Everyone had plenty of room to relax, and the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, making it easy for all ages to enjoy their time.The location was ideal — close to everything we needed, yet peaceful enough for quality family time. Fun and Sun

The location couldn't be bettered for those who like the ocean and the comfort of an indoor pool. Proximity to shopping was a plus. A family as large as ours (19 adults and one teenager in all) was easily accommodated. There is a bedroom with a crib if one is needed. Also a high chair.

Great Vacation Rental

The house is great, it is about a 2 minute walk to the beach, it is very spacious, a great rooftop deck and can easily accomodate 20 people.My family loves coming each year.

This large house was perfect for our big family gathering. We loved the huge dining table, and the 2 kitchen areas were great for meal prep. There was plenty of dishes, utensils, and food storage spaces. We noticed that some furnishings had been nicely updated since the online photos. We enjoyed the beach, just a short walk from the house. The indoor pool, hot tub, & pool table kept our group entertained in the evenings. Location is just a short drive from the VA Beach boardwalk for those who preferred the more active scene. Our host communicated well with us. A great weekend!

Fun place, needs work

Lots of space and the third floor is a great place to hang out with a big group. Ocean is a quick walk away. But lots of things that we were expecting to be functional did not work. Upon arrival we were sent a message documenting a list of things that were broken, which was disappointing. The hot tub also turned out to be out of order. Still a good stay for a big group, but some love needs to be put into the house.

Family Fun

We gathered for family time between Christmas & New Year & needed a lot of rooms and some kid friendly activities. This house was perfect for us. The kids loved walks on the beach & the pool. The home was perfect for dinners together & evenings spent watching movies & playing games.

Not as appealing as the pictures show

Inside pool was so cold the kids and half of adults could not get in to enjoy. Small wall pieces where falling off the wall. Toilets were clogging. Some of previous dishes were dirty. There was a stain on 2 blankets. There were no lights in some of the rooms. The rooms were dark. There was not enough dish liquid for the dishes. There were no extra toilet paper paper towels and one of the toilets was not working properly to flush it was held in place with a bread tie.Parts of the house was to hot with very dry air. Some of the furniture was old was marks rios stove wasnt clean.

Air Show Week-end

House served us fairly well for a 5 night family get together. Ages 2 to 75. Guests from four different states. Several commented their beds were better than home. We enjoyed the huge dining room table, close proximity to the beach, the air show at NAS Oceana and the iFly experience nearby. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the home it was pretty warm inside. We set all the thermostats to 72 degrees and waited several hours for the house to cool down but only the 3rd floor and half of the 2nd floor felt cooler. Contacted the property manager and was told the house was large and would take time to cool down. Situation did not improve by the following day. Called property manager again the second day and informed her that only one of the outdoor units was operating. She still didn't want to send anyone out. I told her my son-in-law was an HVAC tech and could check it out when he arrived that night. At that point she said she would send someone out. One guest decided not to come because of the lack of A/C. HVAC rep arrived on 2nd day, checked units (at least one compressor blown) and return air vent filters (several totally clogged). Of course, it was now the week-end. The sleeping arrangements indicated in the listing are also somewhat misleading. No remote for a "sleep sofa" and had to buy a blow up mattress for another guest. When I mentioned this to the manager she said, "Glad it all worked out." Not the response I expected after spending nearly $10k for the week-end.

Fantastic beach house for large multi-family reunion

We were 20 people ranging from 8-62 yrs old. Plenty of bedrooms-space for everyone and beds were comfortable. Plenty of baths! We loved the large eat-in dining table that could fit everyone, the large seating room off the main kitchen which allowed everyone to be together while preparing meals, and the 2 refrigerators and cooking areas in the main area. We loved the roof top deck! FUN! Especially the teenagers. We appreciated the multiple floors which allowed folks to spread out and have enough space. The elevator was nice although our group was able-bodied and didn't need it. We utilized the indoor pool and hot tub every day since our "beach" week turned out to be very rainy and cooler than usual. Nice features! We appreciated the beach towels provided as well as beach chairs provided! The air conditioning worked very well which was important to the older adults for sleeping at night. The location of the house can't be beat....extremely close and walkable to beach (five minutes) and an easy drive to so much (boardwalk, restaurants, etc). We rode bikes or drove to amazing pickle ball courts nearby almost every day -- WIN! Grocery stores not far away (11 minutes). State parks offer hiking-walking, stand up paddle, kayaking, etc. Wonderful! Kitchen was well stocked with one criticism: GET A LARGER GARBAGE FOR WASTE AND RECYCLE! Dishwasher was broken when we arrived but owner fixed ASAP. Great communication with owner who was pleasant and responsive.

This house is located on across street from the oceanfront houses. The beach access paths are located few houses up or down the street from this house. You can see the ocean from the rooftop deck. This is perfect for multiple families to stay together, large dining table to sit together for dinners. The house has a wet bar, kitchenette on ground floor and main kitchen on 3rd floor, indoor pool, and outdoor hot tub. The house is very well stocked (has most everything you will find in normal homes) and decorated like upscale homes. The house is built with high quality materials such as granite countertops, granite/wooden floor, tile walls, etc. The house has 7 master suite bedrooms.

What makes this property unique

The houses are located in high-end residential subdivision "Croatan Beach" on the last street on the coastline. While the area is very quiet and safe for children to walk to the Croatan beach, it is also very close to the Virginia Beach boardwalk if you are looking for lots of activities within 1.5 miles from the house.
