We loved our stay! The house was just the right size for our party of six. Everything was stocked so well, it almost felt like being at my own house. The beds were comfortable, and the living room area was super nice with a great view looking out to one of the mountains. We also really liked the location. We skied in Copper but we ate most of our dinners out in Dillon/Silverthorne. This house is very close to both of those spots. Dana and Thomas were really easy to work with and were responsive anytime I had a question. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for hosting us!
Truthfully I wanted to leave a great review. The house was cute and the details were thoughtful. I even thought the host were great-until I returned home to a 500 damage report. Both showers heads broke during our stay- one while I was using. We were blamed for breaking them because logically 40 year old women on vacation with their (older) kids either don’t know how to use take showers or enjoy breaking showers for fun. I got to buy a new shower heads, pay for the fact the host doesn’t live nearby, and their “time” to screw on a new plastic shower head. VRBO is doing nothing. If you choose to stay here document EVERYTHING that is even a little off and don’t think you’re bothering the host by asking for help. Beware. In a million years I never thought I’d be charged and accused of intentionally breaking a shower on my vacation

Unfortunately, when items that are confirmed working by the cleaning crew prior to check in are broken, reported as previously broken and then additional items are broken and not reported but found by the cleaning crew, yes, I will assess damage. First time I have assessed any damage fee, including for several items that were broke and reported by the renter as apologizing for breaking it. Mistakes happen, hidden broken items only makes the next renters have a poor experience.
This is an amazing property for the price! Truly fully stocked! Lots of space to spread out. My mid-young family of 6 fit perfectly for our ski trip: able to efficiently launch to Breckenridge, Vail, and Beaver Creek. You’ll be very glad you stayed here.

Thank you! Would love the opportunity to host you again!
The home is situated in a very nice neighborhood, located near many of the popular resorts. Upon arriving, the home was VERY clean and we enjoyed being able to park our vehicle inside the garage. Layout of the house is absolutely ideal for a large family or a group of friends. We definitely would enjoy staying at this place, again.
The house was perfect for what we wanted. It had a very well equipped kitchen that allowed for easy meal prep. The property was clean and maintained. It was a centrally located spot to all the ski resorts we wanted to visit. Overall very pleased with the property and I'd recommend it.
We really enoyed our stay at "Bear Necessities" in Frisco! The home had everything we needed for our stay! It was perfect for our family of 4 and we even had space for my mother-in-law to stay with us for a couple of days! Downtown is super cute and a short walk from the home. Lots of resturants and cute shops near by. The home owners were very responsive to my messages and even allowed us to check in early, which was great after 2 days on the road to get there! Beautiful views as well! Would highly reccomend staying here is you are ever visiting Colorado!

Glad you enjoyed you stay! Look forward to hosting you again.
I rented for all of February, and I couldn’t be happier. The property was everything I’d hoped for in location, amenities, and space. It’s a very easy walk into town <10 min. There were tons of cooking utensils, basic ingredients, towels, blankets, pillows, extra beds, etc. And it was very roomy! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
I returned to this house for 22 nights to do some spring skiing at the 8 resorts in the area. During that time I had 2 different groups of guests. Much like last year, we all found this house to be the perfect getaway. The layout and 3 bathrooms make it spacious and gives privacy. The stocked kitchen makes it easy to stay in house for healthy meals. The outdoor deck and grill make a great atmosphere during warm, spring evenings. The organized garage makes it easy to find tools if you need to work on any ski or bike gear. The garage also serves as a good staging area for any ski and biking gear you may wish to unload from your vehicle overnight. This section of Frisco is very quiet and secluded. It is also very easy to get to downtown, WalMart, or Route 70. The owners were very pleasant, responsive, and attentive. I hope to get another chance to stay here since there is so much to do in the area.

It’s always a pleasure to host Robert and his guests! Very clean, takes great care of our place and leaves it just like he found it. Looking forward to the opportunity to host Robert again!
We stayed in this house for a ski trip. There were 4 of us. We rented it for 9 nights and got in 10 days of skiing. The location is great. It is in a quiet part of town. It was perfect for us. They call it "Bear Necessities" which is comical because it had anything and everything we could have possibly needed. The house, kitchen, closets, and garage are all stocked with supplies, tools, and any accessories we may have needed during our stay. I needed to adjust some ski boots and used an allen wrench from a toolbox in the garage. Parking in the garage was helpful on the snowy mornings. Gaining access was easy and the owners made a great effort to make sure we were satisfied. I was quite surprised how nice the house was when we arrived. The pictures and description downplayed how nice it is and how roomy it is. The house is decorated very nice. The layout provided a lot of space and privacy. The 2 bedrooms and small living room at basement level provide a nice living space separate from the main living room and upstairs master bedroom. The bathtub with jets helps sore, overworked muscles. Three couples stay here and be very comfortable. A family of 5 or 6 would also be fine The back deck was nice but we never got a chance to grill due to the snowy days we got. Snow was cleared and shoveled for us so we didn't have to worry about anything.

About the host
Hosted by Thomas Ehrman
We have been enjoying all Summit County has to offer for 15+years, building uncountable memories and always looking forward to our next trip. In the spring of 2023 we had the opportunity to to acquire what we hope will be your next vacation spot.
Why they chose this property
We like the central location of Bear Necessities, while still being on a very quiet, heavily wooded neighborhood for that remote cabin feel.
