About this property
Mountain house sleeps 4 w/ deck & firepit, 5mi to Grandfather Mtn, pet friendly!
Our home is the perfect getaway for small families and couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy the peacefulness of the NC mountains and experience what laid-back mountain living means.
It features two bedrooms - one boasts of a comfortable queen-sized bed and the other features a bunk bed that is perfect for children or additional guests. A pack-and-play is also available upon request.
The two bathrooms (1 full and 1 half) are fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, including fresh towels and toiletries.
The living room is the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring the area. It has a comfortable couch and a lounge chair, a flat-screen TV and a cozy fireplace perfect for colder nights. The lounge chair converts into a bed for extra sleeping or lounging.
There are two window AC units in the living room, two portable stand fans in each room and ceiling fans in every room to keep you cool in the summer months. The elevation at Lindville Land Harbor is 3600 feet so it is always cool. Opening the windows will let in a nice fresh breeze. For the colder months, we have baseboard heating, heaters in each room and a gas fireplace in the living room to keep you warm and toasty. We also added outdoor heaters on the back deck for warmth so you can enjoy fresh air in the winter months.
Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals including a stove, refrigerator, microwave, countertop dishwasher, toaster, blender, crock-pot, George Foreman Grill, popcorn machine and a Keurig coffee machine.
Outside, you will find a lovely deck area with a comfortable sectional, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee while listening to the birds or having a relaxing evening meal and enjoying a glass of wine. You can also grill on the deck (bring your own coal).
Just a step below, you will find a firepit area where you can enjoy s’mores, sit around the campfire and listen to the sounds of nature (bring your own wood).
If you want to balance work and leisure, our home is equipped with high-speed internet ensuring that you stay connected and productive throughout your stay. A dedicated workspace is set-up with a desk and chair for Work From Home possibilities. Think skiing and snowboarding at Beech Mountain or Sugar Mountain while still being able to work during the winter months.
Lindville Land Harbor (LLH) offers a variety of seasonal amenities for guests to enjoy. Everything is at your doorstep! The scenic trails are perfect for hiking/walking and range in difficulty from easy to challenging. About the host
Hosted by Carolyne Andersen

My name is Carolyne and I am your host. My family and I plus our Maltipoo named Wolf decided to make the exciting move from the Bay Area in California to Apex, North Carolina to enjoy a slower pace of life. A slower pace allows my husband and I the ability to focus on raising our children and watch them grow. North Carolina has been good to us and life has never been this great!
The first time we visited this area, we fell in love with the breathtaking outdoors and serene landscapes that this region has to offer. We found solace in hiking through scenic trails and breathing in the fresh mountain air. There is always something to pique our interests no matter what season. We kept on coming back and always had great experiences and memories to cherish. We loved it so much that we decided to get a little home away from home to escape to whenever we want.
My job as a Data Scientist and my husband's job as a Project Leader as well as the busy schedule of our children do not allow us to escape whenever we want. We cannot use our home all year round so we would like to share it with others who enjoy the activities we love when we are in the mountains.

Why they chose this property
We chose Lindville Land Harbor to call our second home because of its scenic location. It is nestled in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains offering breathtaking views and still keeps a serene natural setting. It is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts like us. You can hike, bike, fish, boat, golf, swim, play tennis, play pickle ball and more without driving too far. Almost everything is at your door step!
It's proximity to popular attractions and destinations is a plus. Attractions like Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock and other natural wonders is just a short drive away. There are also wineries and breweries you can visit nearby.
Lindville Land Harbor embraces a relaxed lifestyle in a beautiful natural setting, indulges us with all the outdoor activities and amenities we enjoy and is close to all the destinations we love visiting any time of the year. We love it here!
What makes this property unique
Little Mountain Home (LMH) is nestled in the rhododendrons on a quiet street. Even though we have neighbors on both sides, it still feels secluded. It's like you are in your very own piece of mountain heaven.
