About this property

The perfect house for Lake Placid weekends or epic summer vacations. Perfect location on Mirror Lake Drive - watch the Ironman from your front lawn! Access to a semi-private beach. Stunning stone fireplace, beautiful deck with Weber grill, outdoor seating for 12. Scenic 15 min. walk to Lake Placid village, 15 minutes to Whiteface. Huge mud room with storage for skis and more. Three full baths. Finished first level. Fully stocked kitchen. Great Wi-Fi and TVs. STR Permit #STR-003304.
The space
The house is three bedrooms and three baths, and will sleep 8 in beds comfortably. The main floor has a beautiful stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, dining room, kitchen, full bath and two large bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a double bed and a twin with a twin trundle.

The 2nd floor is the master suite, with a king size bed, desk, large en suite bathroom with dual sinks, and a lovely walk in shower. The lower level is newly renovated, with a beautifully furnished living room, full bath, laundry, and TV. For the ultimate in convenience, the lower level has a huge mud room, the perfect place to kick off your shoes and store your gear.

Outside is a large deck with Weber three-burner gas grill, a teak table that seats eight, and four Adirondack chairs. The house has a large front lawn that is beautifully landscaped and maintained; the backyard is small but private, with room enough for kids to play and for a game of cornhole. The driveway is large with plenty of parking.

Kitchen is fully stocked - lots of silverware, two coffee makers, waffle maker, panini press, and popcorn machine.

Big Spruce Lodge is across the street from the semi-private beach (reserved for Beech Hill residents only). Sandy, shallow beach (no weeds!), with a dock to launch the canoe, SUP, or kayak that comes with the house (all of which are conveniently stored at the waterfront - no need to carry them). The beach faces the quiet, northeast end of the lake - a great place for summer reading, or to take in a sunrise or sunset.

World Cup Weekend in LP

We had a lovely stay. The property was beautiful and well-maintained and in the perfect location - away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street but close enough to walk to town. I highly recommend.

BEST family vacation!

We loved our stay here, everyone had the best time as there is something for everyone! The house itself is beautiful with just about everything you might need during your stay and plenty of room to spread out, even if you have more single sleepers and children like we did. Close enough to town for a comfortable walk, but not so close that you’re tempted to walk down for every meal and cup of coffee. ;) The access to water equipment (kayak, SUP, and canoe) was a wonderful perk but be advised the canoe is HEAVY and needs at LEAST three people to carry it to the beach! My *only* word of caution is that this may not be your best choice if you have persons in your party with limited mobility, as there is no way to enter the main level of the house without at least a few stairs, either inside or outside; ground level entry from the parking area enters onto the lower level with mud room, laundry, and den with someone steep stairs ascending to main level. Overall and excellent place for a family vacation or reunion! You won’t regret it!
