We found this property to be everything we wanted in a pre-Christmas family gathering. Very comfortable, spacious, Adirondack style and also new amenities. Marcy was very attentive and helpful; the location was great and the view spectacular. We hope to return and enjoy this home during the summer months.
Beautiful quiet private comfortable setting. All expectations regarding advertised setting fully realized. Location made variety of activity easily accessible- day and nighttime forays into the town of Lake Placid, safe available access to walking trails, proximity to grocery stores and ice cream.
What a great house, and what an amazing location! Just minutes walking distance from the village, yet completely removed from the hustle and bustle of people and shops, very secluded, with a beautiful lawn and direct access to the lake. The house has unique personality, tastefully decorated, spacious, and felt like home. This was a rare find, and we really enjoyed the time we spend there. The host is very welcoming and a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend!

My wife and I, daughter, son in law, 3 grand kids and 2 sisters: All under one roof with room with room to spare. The location couldn’t be better. 10 min walk to the heart of downtown. A big plus for us was the private dock. The grandkids loved swimming in the shallows of the lake, and the grownups enjoyed our kayaks. This is our second year here ,and we’d love to stay again.
The house was perfect for our family to stay at for both competing in and spectating the Lake Placid Ironman race. The kids absolutely loved being on the water, and us competitors enjoyed shakeout swims right in the backyard! Would 100% return!!
The view of mirror lake is amazing! The house was nice and cozy, with room for everyone. The half bath on the main floor was very useful. Marcy was great, instructuons were very clear and me and my family had a wonderful time!
Exceptional Property in an ideal neighborhood of Lake Placid. A truly charming house w/ views to last a lifetime. The hosts were extremely generous in their welcome package and supply of wood for the fireplace.
Fantastic Adirondack experience - walking distance to town.
Great house, well taken care of and appointed. Owners very accommodating. Very cozy bedrooms, cheerful eat-in kitchen for gathering, beautiful views of lake, comfortable living room for sitting in front of fire.
It was idyllic in all ways. And we were lucky enough to experience Lake Placid at peak color weekend. Waking up to the view of Mirror Lake each morning was good for the soul!! And Marcy was terrific and made things super easy for us. The house is a classic Adirondacks old world lake house. Such a great vibe….thank you Marcy.
Although the weather was bitter cold (-44 with the wind chill factor) we had a delightful weekend. The fireplace kept us cozy and warm, the house was very comfortable with gorgeous views of the lake. We did venture out for a few walks, snow shoeing, and delicious meals. Thank you Marcy for being such a great host!!
This was a wonderful place to relax with family in Lake Placid. The large house is in a perfect location, right on mirror lake, with easy access to the town and all the activities the region offers. The house is a grand historic style "camp" with an updated kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the owner was easy and we appreciated having all the information we needed in advance. Hope to stay here again the next time we have a large family gathering in LP.
We enjoyed 5 nights at Marcy’s beautiful home between Christmas and New Years. We have been to Lake Placid more than a dozen times, and this is the location you dream of — a perfect view of Mirror Lake and east walking distance to Main Street. The house is lovingly maintained and updated with a well-equipped kitchen. It was a perfect location for our extended family group. We definitely hope to return.
This is our 2nd time staying at this beautiful home on Mirror Lake. The home is clean, spacious and has a beautiful updated kitchen with everything. We went snowshoeing on the lake and enjoyed the walks into town. Perfect location. Perfect home. The owner was easy to contact and quick to respond. We hope to return next year.
Our multi-generational family thoroughly enjoyed our long-weekend at this property. The house is charming with plenty of room for games and conversations. The kitchen is well equipped and the linens comfortable. We enjoyed skiing, tobogganing, skating and shopping. The close proximity to town and the frozen lake even permitted walking for exercise and the convenience of not having to find parking. Communicating with Marcy was easy and she was very responsive ~ even with getting the plow out to clear the driveway after 10 inches of snow overnight. We hated to leave and hope to get back! Thanks for your hospitality and graciousness!

Your own B&B in the heart of Mirror Lake
This Lake Placid vacation home is a fabulous place to enjoy a long weekend in Lake Placid with family or friends. The home itself was comfortable for everyone in our group to hang together or find a nook for quiet reprieve. It was well-kept and cozy, the updated kitchen had everything we needed, and the porch was a beautiful spot to admire the lake rain or shine. The house is perched on a sprawling lawn on an ideal area of the lake for kayaking, swimming, and your own slice of serenity. Our only complaint was that we needed to be vigilant in looking out for dog poop in the yard. We needed to pick it up multiple times in order to avoid stepping in it on the walk from the house to the dock. Despite our love for dogs, since we were not permitted to bring our own, it was frustrating to have to deal with this inconvenience from the neighboring dogs. This aside, we had a fantastic weekend and highly recommend this home for an unforgettable getaway.
I cannot say enough about this beautiful home on Mirror Lake. We were 3 families - 7 adults and 5 kids (ages 3 - 11) and we had more than enough room in the home. The home is exactly as pictured. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed to cook in each night as we weren't quiet comfortable eating in restaurants during this time. We loved having a very clean (new, maybe?) grill to cook out on. The bedrooms were clean, spacious and beds were comfortable. Our kids LOVED hanging out on the doc to fish, jump in and swim, or play in the shallow area along the shore. (There is no ladder on the doc, which was a bit tricky for the little ones). We adults enjoyed our morning coffees and evening cocktails on the red Adirondack chairs with a most spectacular view.... and in the bar area on the rainy evenings. We could not have picked a more perfect place.
Just a few notes: we had one issue with dogs coming over during our stay, but when we messaged Marcy, she was very quick to contact the neighbor and it wasn't an issue the rest of the stay. As stated in the previous review, it should be noted that the hill leading down to the lake is quite steep - which was fine for the kids, but my older parents had difficulty getting up and down. The only two things we wished were included (but we knew going in that they weren't) was some sort of boat/kayak/canoe. You can rent boats hourly from the rental location across the street, but it becomes costly. Luckily, my sister was able to bring her kayak and we had one for us to share all week. We also would have enjoyed a table outside to use. The indoor patio is amazing and has table, but being outside for some meals would have been nice. Neither of these things affected our stay but just something to note.
I would absolutely recommend this home. Thank you, Marcy, we truly enjoyed your home and our vacation on Mirror Lake!!
