Property was just as described. It was the perfect location. First impression, wow this place is clean. Loved having a full washer and dryer. The balcony was spacious and had an amazing view. Loved that Netflix was set up on TV and we were able relax after a long day at the beach. Staff at Crystal Shores were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, well-equipped condo

We were in Gulf Shores for a softball tournament, and wanted a nice place to stay on the beach. This complex really delivered. My daughters loved the exercise facility over-looking the gulf, and I enjoyed the proximity to restaurants and shopping. We had one very minor repair need during our stay, and it was attended to quickly and efficiently. The only mildly negative issue is that the pool area is very small in comparison to the size of the complex. There were not enough chairs to accommodate everyone who wanted to use the pool area. This is not an issue for this particular unit, though. Would definitely book this unit again.

Wonderful location with Gulf view!

My husband and I took a last minute beach trip and ended up here. The condo was located just far enough down the road that the beach wasn’t crazy crowded upon our arrival. However that picked up as it got closer to the weekend. We had ZERO issues with the elevators. They were quick and reliable. The condo was spacious and provided everything we needed minus a blow-dryer. We ran into a few minor issues that were more of an inconvenience than anything. I had to spend several hours cleaning the coffee maker out bc the water reservoir was full of mold. The toaster kept setting off the smoke detector, even after we emptied the crumbs. And the shower heads need to be replaced in both bathrooms. You can barely rinse the soap off your body with them. Handheld ones would be much better. The unit was clean, beds comfy, gorgeous views! Would stay again!

Great location

The location itself was perfect! We loved being directly on the beach- the private walkway to the beach was exactly what we needed with a baby and 6 year old. The place itself was extremely basic compared to a lot of other places we’ve stayed. Which I guess was okay. The biggest drawback though were the elevators. There were 2 for the entire place and unfortunately only one seemed to be operational. Many times we had to use the stairs, or wait for 15-20 minutes for the elevator. Neither of which are ideal with an infant and stroller. The Google reviews for Crystal Shores West specifically mention elevator issues, so clearly it’s a known problem. It would’ve been nice if the owners could’ve mentioned something beforehand. We will stay in the area again, but likely not this exact unit or building. It was nice, but just not the right fit for our young family.

Watch out for the washer room door. It will blow open and hit the wall and put a hole in it.And then they will send you a bill for it! All I know is, I saw the hole in the wall. Didn’t know how it got there so I started looking and I opened up the door to washer area and the hole matched to the door knob.It’s clearly happened before because you can see the repair work done! I did take picturesThere is no door stopper on the door. All they need to do is put a stopper on the wall and this will not happen again!!I was with a group of six other units their doors all had stoppers on them because I checked.Then I get an insurance claim against me yesterday for 185This is not my problem. They need to do something about it!I wonder how many times they bill the renters ins for this?**On another note, there are two elevators, one or the other was continuously broke during our stay at any time during the dayI did reach out to the host on that and they got back with me and said that they checkd w property mgmt and they said there was no problems w the elevators. Then they had to explain to me that there are lines with people. And this has nothing to do with the amount of people in line. When there’s only one elevator working, that’s a problem !There was frequent guest and he said they always have issuesAnd I understand that during the tropical storm Bertha last week that the elevators didn’t work that day but that’s not the day I’m talking about

Please read our many 5 star reviews. During peak travel dates, wherever you stay in Gulf Shores, pack your patience! There is a wait time at the elevators at all 8 of our beachfront locations. Crystal Shores West is a 14 story building booked to capacity in June/July, so, yes, there is a wait time at the elevators. The interior of the condo is videoed between guests by our quality control team. We never duplicate a damage claim. The guests damaged the condo, and a valid claim was filed with their traveler's insurance.
