The house is well equipped with everything you may need: kitchen, linens, outdoor seating, recreational. The view is lovely, looking right out at the lake. Good breezes pass through the house, helped by the ceiling fans. We enjoyed watching the loons during the day and hearing their calls. Having the canoe and kayaks was really nice. Hosts were responsive, but we really didn’t need to contact them at all during our stay. All the furnishings are comfortable and well kept. The house was very clean when we arrived. I’d absolutely return - and hope to next summer!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We would be very happy to host you again, just give us a call!
We really enjoyed our stay. It wasn’t the Ritz but it was clean, a little dated and felt like a perfectly preserved 1970s lake house. Lots of space, great campfire area, lots of firewood and updated bathroom. The communication with the property managers Lyndsey and Sally was quick, helpful and responsive. I would stay again. Thank you Jennifer.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this place, or its hosts. They were very accommodating with questions and issues I had before my arrival (had a small issue with putting the wrong card down on file). And the home itself... stunning. Enough beds for everyone to sleep, comfortable and cozy living space, firewood protected to use in the yard... and the view of the lake was heavenly. Cracked out a fishing rod for the first time in 20 years, and just felt so relaxed. Will absolutely stay again. Thanks so much, friends!
A beautiful private location with gorgeous views from all sides of the house and located less than 10 mins from route 1. Classic old school camp vibes which is exactly what we were looking for. Lots of windows /doors w/ a big porch to enjoy the views and the breeze off the lake. Ceiling fans and open concept provided great air flow on the warm days. Large open space downstairs w/ plenty of seating and a big table for lots of family time together without it being crowded. Very clean and rental managers were very helpful and gave good attention to detail. Wall to wall carpets in all rooms except the kitchen and bathroom which we weren’t used to and made it a bit harder to keep clean and dry.
Swimming with young kids could be challenging as there is only a small shallow area on shore that would be tricky to access for swimming and would need swim shoes to protect feet. The kayak dock is very shallow in the cove with lots of plant life so we didn’t really use that one. The main dock wasn’t fully encompassed by plants but also pretty shallow for jumping and no swim ladder to climb in and out that way. We had brought our boat and launched it at the boat landing nearby but had to be very cautious about the depth of this cove area and using the right channel to get In and out to the camp dock. But we had a great time tubing and swimming in the bigger damariscotta lake. Fire pit was fabulous!
