La Casa Roja's uniqueness lies in its ability to offer an open concept view of the Costa Rican jungle and its wildlife while maintaining complete privacy. The open spaces means that the only visitors you can expect are from nature itself. Daily visits from birds, monkeys and a lazy sloth, along with a refreshing steady breeze from the nearby Pacific Ocean will make your visit to La Casa Roja an everlasting and unforgettable experience.
Casa Roja is a two bedroom two and half bath private jungle home located in Manuel Antonio. Casa Roja features a private swimming pool and lush gardens. On the top floor you will find the main living area including the living room, dining area, kitchen and half bath. On the lower level you will find the master bedroom featuring a king sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is also located here and it features a queen size bed and and ensuite bathroom. There is also a futon in the open area of the house. The lower level of the home is where the private swimming pool is located.
Although all the common space is primarily open air, the exterior door to Casa Roja is secured with keyless entry and a dead bolt lock and the rear of the home is gated with a lock. The front of the home is completely walled, with no access to the back or side of the house from the street. Additionally, both bedrooms are fully contained and also secured with locks while the entire home is protected with a security system for those who choose to use it.
Location is everything! From La Casa Roja, you can walk to the beach (10-15 mins down the hill), while restaurants, shops, bars, groceries and more are within a 5-10 min walk.
When booking with us, you will get free concierge service. Concierge can help you with private airport transportation, chef services, massages, tours, reservations or anything else you might need during your stay. You also get housekeeping service, with the exception of Sunday, to include laundry service. There is also a team that comes throughout the week to maintain the pool and the grounds. The service at Casa Roja is second to none!

House Rules:
1. A signed and fully completed rental agreement (including names and ages) with photo ID is required within 24 hours of booking. Person signing and staying must be at least 25 yrs old. No unregistered guest (must be on rental agreement) at anytime.
2. Quiet hrs strictly enforced from 8pm-6am. Loud noise after 8pm can be grounds for eviction.
3. $500 Security Deposit Hold is required. No children under 5 yrs old permitted on the property.
4. Guests are responsible for locking all doors/windows in the villa when they are absent - safeguarding its contents, including guests' personal items.
5. I understand that because Costa Rica is a developing nation and can have torrential rain storms during rainy season, sometimes you will loose power. This is not unusual. Although it does not happen often, when it does it could be a few minutes or a couple hours. Do not be alarmed. There are emergency flashlights around the house for your use and you can contact your concierge if you have any questions. No refunds are given for acts of God.
6. I understand that the home is open air except for the bedrooms which have AC. The AC is fitted for the bedrooms only so the bedroom doors should never be left open. Additionally the AC should not be left running while no one is in the room.
7. Third party travel insurance is required to cover any cancellations outside of our cancellation policy.
8. No pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties or events
9. Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.
Important Notice About Local Wildlife and Insects
Our property is located in a natural setting, which means guests may encounter insects (such as ants, mosquitoes, or spiders) and possibly wildlife (including snakes, lizards, or other native animals). We take precautions to minimize such encounters, but interactions with local flora and fauna are part of the experience.
