About this property
Escape to Casa Gina — Your Private Jungle Sanctuary in Costa Rica
Paradise found: Stay at Casa Gina
Nestled on a lush 1.5-acre jungle lot within the gated community of Rancho Manuel Antonio, Casa Gina is a private, romantic, and secure retreat designed for those seeking both peace and adventure. Just minutes from Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park, this fully air-conditioned two-bedroom, two-bath home was crafted from the ground up to offer a truly rejuvenating escape.
Spend your days lounging by the stunning private pool, surrounded by a sandstone deck and shaded by a private palapa with a wet bar — your own personal paradise. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed by grand double teak doors that set the tone for the home's rich, custom craftsmanship. Throughout the house, you'll find exquisite furniture handcrafted from Guanacaste wood — a dark, lustrous timber and the national tree of Costa Rica.
The main living area blurs the line between indoors and out, with soaring twelve-foot ceilings adorned with teak, comfortable seating for eight, and six sliding doors that open wide to the pool deck and surrounding rainforest. Whole-house A/C keeps the space cool and dry, while abundant dimmer-controlled recessed lighting sets the perfect mood for entertaining or unwinding.
Step outside onto any of Casa Gina's four decks and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the jungle. Toucans, three species of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and the breathtaking Blue Morpho butterfly are frequent visitors. Fire up the gas grill and make the most of the fresh fish, chicken, and produce available at the local farmers' market.
The thoughtfully designed kitchen features teak cabinetry, granite countertops, and quality stainless steel appliances — including an ice maker. A full set of cookware and utensils makes preparing meals a pleasure, while the breakfast island and wet bar seating for four invite relaxed mornings and easy conversation. The Guanacaste wood dining table comfortably seats four for more formal meals.
Both bedrooms offer king-sized beds dressed in quality linens, complemented by beautifully matched armoires and nightstands. Individual remote-controlled A/C units and ceiling fans ensure a restful night's sleep. Each bedroom opens onto its own private covered deck through large sliders — a serene spot to read, reflect, or simply soak in the rainforest atmosphere. The two full bathrooms are finished with sandstone floors and shower enclosures, and feature teak counters, vessel sinks, rainfall showerheads, and soft mood lighting for a spa-like feel.
Whether you're seeking quiet seclusion or eager to explore, Casa Gina puts it all within reach. The vibrant town of Quepos is just five minutes away, and the pristine white-sand beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park are only seven minutes from your door. From casual local "sodas" to upscale gourmet dining, dozens of restaurants are just a short drive away.
All pricing is transparent and all-inclusive — no hidden fees, ever.

Casa Gina is really a gem! It is super convenient to everything the Manuel Antonio area has to offer, but is set back into the jungle so you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The house is beautiful and clean and the three separate air conditioning areas mean that everyone can be comfortable. Carlos is an amazing resource - he helped us get a lot of really great activities lined up beforehand, and while we were there helped us with everything from letting us know where the best grocery stores were to referring us to a place to get our tire fixed. We saw all kinds of wildlife in the back yard, as promised - our girls made friends with a curious iguana that came by every afternoon. Casa Gina was a great home base and I would absolutely come here again!
My wife and I loved this house! The location couldn’t be better, right next to the border of Manuel Antonio national park. We saw lots of animals right in our backyard including 3 types of monkeys, lots of iguanas, toucans, macaws, and more. This house is somewhat secluded. There are neighbors that you can hear sometimes, but very private. Carlos was very helpful throughout or 10 day stay.
Excellent location, near beach, national park yet private and quiet. The home was clean, fully equipped and very comfortable with everything we needed. Pool and outdoor space was fantastic.
We had a great stay at Casa Gina. The property was well maintained in beautiful location. Late afternoon we were visited by a pack of monkeys and their babies which was a great experience. We enjoyed the beach and manual antonio nationpark which are only a few minutes away.
To start Carlos was awesome. He helped us setup all of our excursions and offered us options that really fit our style of vacation. He setup white water rafting, a comfortable beach day and a spa session for the family. The house was comfortable and exactly as advertised. It was well appointed, the ac’s were efficient, and the grounds were amazing. We had tons of local wild life and got a visit from a squirrel monkey troop of at least 30 monkeys. The pool was perfect after a long day and beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to others. Perfect for a stay in Quepos or Manual Antonio.
Simply beautiful.Well stocked and maintained. Super clean!Close to all the beautiful beaches and restaurants. Communication was excellent. Can't wait to come back!
We had a wonderful time there! It was very peaceful and comfortable. Would come back. The roads are very steep, I’d never seen anything like that, but ours was better than some others and we got used to it. A rental car was delivered right to our vrbo. It was a fantastic trip!
Casa Gina is a beautiful house that has a great layout, is very spacious, is well equipped and was very clean. The location is convenient to all area activities and restaurants. Best to arrive during daylight since getting there in the dark requires very good GPS. A four-wheel drive car isn't needed but might be useful for exploring the area.
The house was perfect, just the jungle retreat that we were looking for. We loved waking up to the howlers and all of the sounds. Very peaceful setting. Communication with Carlos was great
Everything about the house was great and our host, Carlos, was outstanding! We got lost coming in and he was able to guide us from What's App. The power went out one day but Carlos and the owners were very responsive in updating us and pointing us to the flashlights.
Very comfortable, lovely and well-appointed house. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and good communication with host. The driveway is very steep and rocky. I was glad we had a 4X4, especially when it was raining. It was a great location while we were in Manuel Antonio.
Amazing stay, owners and the property manager were super helpful and the house was definitely love at first sight. We saw towns of animals and insects while enjoying the pool during the afternoon. Would stay there again with no hesitation!
It’s our first time visiting Costa Rica. We were lucky to find this property and experienced living in the rainforest. The property manager Carlos was very helpful. We didn’t make any reservations before we arrived at the property. We couldn’t find any available reservations for the national park before our departure date. Carlos rescued us. He got reservations for us and also helped with other reservations. Make sure to contact Carlos for tours. Also make sure to get a four wheel drive vehicle to get you to the property. We enjoyed our stay. Pura Vida

About the host
Hosted by Gina Lee
After spending the last several decades in Colorado amidst the beautiful mountains of the front range we found ourselves always longing for the ocean as well. A visit to Costa Rica in 2005 led us to experience the wonderful abundance of wildlife and warm people that so many have written about. Now that we are getting around to thinking about the perfect place for us to retire to the combination of Summer in the Rockies and Winter on a Costa Rican beach seems like a dream come true.
Why they chose this property
Although each new visit brought us to a different area of the country we found ourselves always returning to Manuel Antonio for the beautiful beaches and great selection of food. We selected our lot based on how private it was, yet so close to all of the special things to do in Manuel Antonio. Our builder designed and constructed the house to take advantage of our jungle view and all the wonderful nature that is visible from all of the rooms.
What makes this property unique
Our private pool in the midst of the jungle is the perfect place to spend your days relaxing with nature and observing the many visitors to the property. A small nature trail with marked fruit trees will offer a unique experience. The gourmet kitchen and two wet bars will keep you fed and watered.
