The Captain's Quarters is a spacious 4 BR home located on E Ocean View Ave across the street from the beach. The interior has a beautiful front sitting room, large dining room, large kitchen, a game room equipped with chess and checkers, a foosball table, a large living room, and a half bath on the lower level. Upstairs, the expansive Master Bedroom features a walk-in closet, ensuite master bath, views of the water, and access to the upper porch with hanging chair, and a table to enjoy morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the Chesapeake Bay. There are 3 other bedrooms and a second full bathroom upstairs.

Exterior features are a double porch in the front, a garage, an enormous fully fenced in backyard, and a large deck with picnic table in the back. The home is conveniently located right across the street from a beach access.

Working with the hosts was amazing. Very quick to respond. The house was clean, and was described very accurately. Our stay was excellent and would 100% recommend. The only complaint is the road noise in the master bedroom. But there is nothing that can be done about that. Excellent stay!

We have 5 children and they are involved in the remodels of every house. Jim is a licensed contractor and is passing on his skills and knowledge to his children. Kristina has found a creative outlet in designing, furnishing and decorating each home. Each of our vacation rentals is a labor of love and source of pride. We have stayed in each of our homes with our own family and hold ourselves to the highest standards. Each of our homes are thoughtfully and intentionally furnished and decorated with all new furniture to provide an inviting, comfortable, functional, and clean place for our guests to relax and unwind.

Why they chose this property

The Captain's Quarters is our first home in Norfolk, VA and we chose the area and the home due to it's proximity to the beach, the fact that you can walk across the street and enjoy the "small waves" of the Chesapeake Bay, or drive just up the road and enjoy the "big waves" of the Atlantic Ocean. We love the neighborhood and love to support the military by providing a beautifully apportioned home where service members families can come for an extended stay.

What makes this property unique

Our property is a large single family home with 4 bedroom, fully remodeled and all new furnishings as of May 2023. It is located on E Ocean View Ave in Norfolk with a view of the water from the Master Bedroom and upper porch. It features a huge fully fenced in backyard for another excellent place to relax. One of the defining characteristics of the house is just the space. It is truly a large house with space to spread out and relax.
