It is a beautiful home with plenty of space for adult children to come and visit. Kitchen is a little lacking in cooking utensils (no cookie sheet) and there was a bit of a problem with some ants on the counter the last morning, but nothing is perfect. Had an issue with the heat being on and not AC. Called the owner and it was delt with immediately! I would recommend this place!

Choice of last resort
I rented this home when I came up to spend a weekend with my son who attends college in Rochester. We were extremely disappointed by the condition of the home when we arrived. It is old, dusty, smelled bad and we seriously considered leaving to get a hotel room. I would never recommend this home to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. While I welcome constructive criticism, I find this review to be both unfair and unbalanced. The condition of the property is accurately represented in the listing, with detailed descriptions and photos that provide full transparency to guests. Your experience does not reflect the standard of cleanliness and care that I provide, which is consistently recognized in other reviews from past guests.
It’s disappointing that you chose to leave this review without contacting me during your stay to address your concerns. I am highly responsive and would have immediately worked to resolve any issues you experienced, had I been informed. This would have been a fairer and more constructive way to address your dissatisfaction.
I strive to ensure every guest feels welcomed and comfortable, and it’s unfortunate that this was not your perception. However, I stand by the quality of my listing and the efforts I put into ensuring a positive guest experience. I encourage future guests to consider the broader feedback from others who have stayed at the property and had positive experiences.
The house served its purpose for our needs. I do have some recommendations. The kitchen supplies were less than desirable. There were 4 coffee cups and 2 small glasses. Only two lights in the kitchen worked and 1 of them was a 25W over the stove. There should be enough utensils, cups and glasses and plates for at least the number of people that can stay and at least one frying pan instead of all pots. The light switches in each of the bedrooms were not attached to any lights. The bath towels, at least mine, had a big hole in it and it was too small. There were random shampoos in the showers that look like they were from previous renters. The back door was jammed shut and took some force to get it open. There weren't enough remotes to the numbers of TVs in the house but luckily, they could be interchanged. The living room could use another seating area, and the table could have had more than 5 chairs. Again, it worked for our needs but needs work.

Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few points: there’s a switch just underneath the kitchen cabinet that controls the other lights you mentioned. There are at least 10 coffee cups in total—4 on the coffee rack and 6 more in the upper cabinets—along with a 12-piece plate set and plenty of utensils available.
Many of the issues you listed could have been easily addressed if you had reached out during your stay. I made several attempts to check in with you, but unfortunately, I didn’t receive any response. Communication during a stay helps ensure any concerns are resolved promptly for your comfort.
Thank you again for staying with us, and I appreciate your time in sharing this feedback.
