Designed by Grant Whatmorough, often called the Canadian “Frank Lloyd Wright”. www.theglobeandmail.com/real-estate/toronto/article-a-1950s-survival-in-a-renovation-crazy-culture/

The rental unit has a private entrance from the parking area via a rustic, natural hiking trail through the woods where appropriate shoes/boots are a must. You enter into the Main bedroom with Ensuite bath that has been separated from the rest of the house. This is only a wing of a large house. There is 1 queen bed, a single mattress trundle bed, and a couch that folds flat can be slept on only by a child. A kitchenette and 2 sitting/eating areas help to enjoy the wild untouched natural view.

Surrounded by 25 private acres of conservation land in the northern most Carolinian forest of Ontario.

The view from your apt is beautiful and so very quiet. The home was tidy. Not having a sink in the kitchen was tough; the sink in the bathroom worked but I would not do that for an extended stay. The deadbolt on the door does not work, this was an issue for me. It was not apparently for any other guests as per the host but for me it was.

What an amazing quiet retreat! Waking up to the view of the forest was definitely an experience! The place was spotless and because of the architecture of the house it felt like we had the whole place for ourselves. It is definitely on our shortlist for a long weekend getaway again. The mosquitoes are not messing around, so make sure to bring bug spray, which we forgot. Luckily, the hosts had us covered! Easy 5 stars for the whole experience!

Great place for a quiet getaway. We loved our few days. Things to note.. the hill to the rental is steep and has some tree trunks that pop up so be careful. There is no sink for the kitchenette area had to do dishes in the bathroom. Not a big deal but we didn’t cook much just a few small things. View is amazing we even saw a baby deer running through, it’s quiet and calm. Would definitely go back.

Perfect for what we were looking for!My childhood best friend and I try to plan to meet at least once a year to catch up and spend quality time together. The space was perfect for relaxing and very close to many amenities and activities if we wanted to get out and about.Incredibly peaceful and it reminded us both of the summer trips we would make out to the family cottage when we were younger Spare beds are a little squishy, so used my single blow up mattress on top and it was perfect Thank you for offering such a beautiful space for us to enjoy!

A perfect spot to rejuvenate. We enjoyed nearby trails for walking the dog, loved the view of the forest and watching the sunrise and sunset from what I would call a prairie style gem. Easy access to Cambridge and Kitchener without the urban chaos.

Really loved the space for myself and my boyfriend and was a great area for a weekend getaway! The only problem we found was that the deadbolt lock on the door wasn’t working on either side and we only found out from me asking about it. There was a chain lock on the door but it could still be reached at from the outside and opened if tried. We ended up putting the kitchen table in front of the door to ease our minds. Prior notice on that would’ve been nice but otherwise no complaints. Very nice and clean space and even with the treacherous rain we had, it was still pretty good to get up and down the hill to the house even if it was steep. But none of that ruined our trip we still had an amazing time and would definitely come again!

Our stay at Reno’s place was so lovely, relaxing, and peaceful. The guest house is gorgeous and quaint inside. It has everything you need to heat and/or cook all your meals from breakfast to dinner. The views were stunning, and we saw so many beautiful birds (scarlet tanagers, Baltimore orioles, an indigo bunting, and northern flickers). The trail across the road is so convenient and close. The trilliums were in full bloom both on the property and in the grand valley trails across the way. 10/10 would recommend and we are certain to be back. We loved our time at this property, and so did our two spaniels!! Thanks again for a great stay.

This unit is absolutely gorgeous in a stunning setting. It is attached to their house, but the entrance is separate and visually hidden from the host's main entrance. Immaculately clean. They were welcoming and helped us promptly if we needed anything. We loved the trails at Dryden Tract just across the street.

I can’t say enough positive things about this property and Reno, the person who manages it! It is truly an amazing rental. I felt like I was in a glass treehouse and was able to experience a thunder storm while there which was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and I slept and napped really well. My pups were relaxed the entire time and enjoyed the beautiful woods around us and the walking trails across the road. The rental is beautiful, clean, comfortable, cozy and serene. This get away was for me, post surgery and I am so happy with my choice. Reno was very helpful due to my physical limitations and assisted me with getting my belongings to the rental. If it’s just you, a couple, a small family or some friends needing a get away, this place is definitely the place to go. I love experiencing different getaways and this has been one of my favs!!

We had a lovely stay amongst nature! Beds are comfy! When not at the campfire, we were walking near by trails and also had a drive into Paris Ontario (cute shops, breeery and restaurants). I also recommend the grand river rafting which is a 30 min drive — relaxing and fun.

Wonderful weekend stay

Reno has a wonderful slice of heaven in the woods and was very nice and communicative during our stay. The space was beautiful and well-furnished. Clarification that there is no kitchen sink or hot tub, but there are other kitchen amenities and a jacuzzi tub. My husband, dog, and I really enjoyed the proximity to the Dryden Tract and the incredible sunlight coming in from all the windows. It's a great weekend stay!
