Thank you for taking good care of our place. The new shower/surround, and floor vinyl will make our bathroom even nicer!
Have a safe and healthy winter.
The Hideout was the perfect stay for us... Close to our hunt'n & fish'n hot spots, yet tucked back off the HWY... Hot showers, home cooked meals and comfortable beds.

Dear Art and friends,
We enjoyed your visit as usual and your expertise! Thanks for taking care of our place so well. Have a healthy winter. Lynn and John
Through lack of communication by the host, despite contact only 2-3 hours prior to arrival, no instructions were given to enter the premises and the host left the area. She had been informed we had no info and only had to resend that for our entry. Attempts to contact her while we waited at the gate by me and Vrbo went totally unanswered. Insurance coverage made sure we had another place to go but 132 miles away to meet our needs.. She did later offer a 2 “free” night stay if we wanted to come back. I would not use this site again. She did sort of apologize but with excuses. This was a definite lack of communication and care by this host.

Sadly, you never located the text I sent the day before your arrival, nor the Welcome Guide which was sent by vrbo.
As I explained, I was totally out of cell phone connection the afternoon and evening of your arrival. Once in 11 years I was away, finally able to visit my granddaughter.
Since you were right at the Hideout, I wish you would have verified the picture of our rental on vrbo and just enjoyed your vacation.....
Our best to you, Lynn and John
This is a great spot to get away from everything. Except for occasional lowing of the nearby cattle on this working ranch, this was a quiet spot. The night sky view was fantastic, with no ambient light to distract While there is a TV and movies, and a wi-fi that worked very well, there is no cable or antenna, so disconnecting from the things is very easy here. It's a nice treat to sit outside and listen to the surroundings.
The home was comfortable, simple and straightforward, but with everything you might need, pots, pans, coffee maker (& coffee!), dishes, a full size refrigerator and stove. The neutral color scheme fit in with the surroundings. The view of the Crazy and the Absarokee mountains is amazing. Sit inside or sit outside, drink your beverage, and enjoy that view.
The owner was available for questions and quick to respond.

Dear Anna,
Thank you for your kind words and "visual" review! After mid June guests won't even hear a cow mooing now and then to find her calf...they'll be over on the other side of ranch...
We enjoyed getting to visit with you and your cat Fleming...great guests!. Everything left so nice.
We hope you will come back again....Lynn and John Michael
The property is surrounded by mountain ranges and wildlife. We enjoyed watching antelope, bald eagles, prairie dogs, and the occasional rabbit. The peace felt here is perfect for when you want to get away from the busyness and noisiness of city life. The hideout is comfortable and clean. John and Lynn were kind and friendly, and available at all times. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet at night. We saw lots of wildlife and the sky was beautiful at night. John and Lynn were always there if we had any questions.

Authentic Charm at the Hideout
I recently spent a very relaxing weekend at the Michael ranch hideout with friends and family. When I stepped out the door in the morning, I was welcomed with panoramic views of three mountain ranges. The accommodations may look humble on the outside, but if you are looking for tons of affordable charm, this is the place to stay! Perfect for hunters, fishers, families, people with pets, and the otherwise adventurous! The interior is newly remodeled and was incredibly clean and cozy. The property seems to stretch on forever and offers great exploring and lots of privacy amidst a working, historic ranch. The owners were exceptionally nice and were very knowledgeable about what to see and do in the area. If you want a pre-packaged experience, consider staying at the Holiday Inn; if you are looking for the real deal, stay at the hideout.

We hope you too will be able to come and enjoy an affordable, ranch family experience as well as a trip down gorgeous Paradise Valley to Yellowstone National Park!

About the host
Hosted by Lynn E Michael
We were raised in farming families. In 1990 we bought our ranch and raised Registered Black Angus and finished raising 6 children!
Why they chose this property
When my son moved, we decided to rent the mobile home to others to enjoy a working ranch experience, and peace and quiet .
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the beautiful 360 degree panoramic view of mountains and wildlife. You can fish, and hike in outside areas and on the nearby Shields River and Yellowstone River.
